Phillies at White Sox GM 2 Thread of Doom (Giolito vs. Falter)

Really wish Burger was at least slightly below average defensively somewhere. They need that bat in the lineup.

  • On a team full of DH's, Burger is the only one who is hitting like a DH should, so keep him at DH and let the other goofs duke it out in a fashion I don't give a f*** about

Easy solution, move Moncada to 2B

Honestly that's not the worst idea. Might help his back a bit too.

I didn’t realize Charlie Blackmon changed his name to Marsh

I don't like the idea of turning a plus defender at 3rd into another defensive negative. But there are no good solutions given the roster construction.

Id love to see them just try it for a week and see.  Unfortunately its what should happen but what won't happen.

He is dealing on the mound. Gas.

That's Oneil Cruz territory...and Burger doesn't exactly have the same leverage with that "compact" frame of his.

What lead goes Giolito need to be safe here?

5 or 6 runs?  7?

Falter is not a good name for a pitcher.

It's going to be a tough decision when Moncada returns because they're going to have to bench Jimenez and/or Sheets.

Have the feeling they will stick one of those two guys in RF if Colas continues to struggle.

No other realistic options.

Haseley isn't going to save the season, or Hamilton/Marisnick in RF.

Falter has a high front side and that adds more deception than his arm action.

Elvis Andrus ladies and gentlemen

C'mon elvis

They really shouldn’t send Burger down when Moncada is back. Dude hits more home runs than the other clowns.

Way too many mental mistakes for Andrus this year

What is Elvis good for?

Getting picked off because you’re blowing on your hands to keep warm is a new level of dumb I didn’t think I’d see. This team never ceases to amaze

Romy at .143 and falling.

Can we keep Sosa, bench Elvis, and send Hanser packing when TA gets back?

Sadly still a better option than Romy or Sosa right now

Good tie-in for the next Sox "base stealing oven mitts" fan giveaway in April...has to be a weekday night game, like a sparsely-attended Tuesday or Wednesday.

That's what I'm hoping for
