Yaz grinding his way to a .360 OBP this year has been very impressive. He's adjusted well to not having much power in his legs anymore.

The Cleveland broadcasters yesterday spend a bit opining about how bad of a signing our .800 OPS catcher is.

Meanwhile, their FA catcher has 46 strikeouts in 85 ABs while also being the worst blocker in the league. Cleveland hasn't gotten a hit from a catcher since April 29.

3 steals for the game and a hit and run there works perfectly. Nice work Petey Grifol.

I'll continue to be glad we did it. Yaz was the top FA catcher on the market, and we paid for him.

For whatever reason, Grandal brings irrational takes like that out of people who should otherwise know better.

OK, you probably have to prepare to pull Clev, now.

Take him out now. The Houdini act might not work this time.

It's dangerous letting Kwan see Clevinger again

Why is he still in

Way too long

Clevinger clearly has nothing left. Should have never come out to start the inning

WTf Pedro I praise you then you leave in Clevinger after the 1st 2 reach base ?

oh wow leaving him in is blowing up all over grifols face, he's been getting through these innings with cunning and guile, not overpowering stuff, letting Cleveland see him a 3rd time through is borderline malfeasance

There was only one way for light-hitting Cleveland to get back into this game and Clevinger just provided it.

The lead is never big enough!

Ugh, why is he still using Lopez in high-leverage situations?

Our stupid manager thinks it's cool to let Clevinger get touched up for a few runs to keep his ERA up there.

An average manager pulls him to start the 7th.

A good manager gives him until 1 baserunner.

Pedro tries to string him longer. Ruining his confidence and taxing both him and bullpen unnecessarily.

Has anyone ever gave themselves the hook and just walked off the mound?

Good question.  I remember we had a pitcher 30 or so years ago who was done, and he just would not throw the ball.  He just stood there until Mgr. came out.  Can't remember the name.  Jesse somebody.  "You can't hit it if I don't pitch it."

Sheesh man, I thought Yoan was going to run into Beni, nicely done, Moncada.

That's my 3rd basemen ?

Yoan's defense sparks joy.
