Two of those years he was starting here.

Everyone gets old. Especially catchers.

Yep.  Solid in 2020 and really good in 2021 but this is the danger of signing free agents in their 30s

  • The whole way the Hendriks situation was handled is infuriating.  His arm wasn’t close to being 100 pct by the sound of it.

Sox got to be one of the worst MLB teams today. Can’t keep loads.  Even Oakland is winning.

I meant to say can’t keep leads.

OK, thanks, but that wasn't germane to the post quoted (Sox OF)

Reading Grifol's lips it looks like he said, "Can you believe I have to deal with this shitshow on a daily basis? Please throw me out!"

Can't blame him. Look at the talent level.

He was literally the starting catcher on a playoff team like 7 years in a row.

Actually, he was on the teams, but when the playoffs came, they benched his ass because he is not a major league capable catcher beyond pitch framing.

The announcers said that Grifol wanted to challenge the play but the first base ump said it was too late to challenge.

Lol yeah I was joking.  If I don't laugh at it I'll cry.

Pretty sure most the pitching staff since he’s been here has rather thrown to whoever the backup has been, whether that be McCann, McGuire or Zavala….if that doesn’t tell you something idk

Could've been worse

Should've been better

Hopefully they do, that will bring them closer to selling and the top pick next year.

You got the wrong sport.  It's not like the NFL.  Plus you are forgetting this organization is horrible at drafting developing. If the Sox were an NFL team they would go for a punter in the 1st round.

I mean would have clearly lost the challenge considering Andrus didn't even bother to be on the base but it certainly looked like Grifol tried challenging right away there.

Let's see if the best player on the field can get a hit with noone on base.

Nah, even if we don't like Pedro's managing, he doesn't come across as the type of manager to go Full Ozzie over a call that he could have challenged.

Or maybe he has truly snapped.

He was mad because he asked for a challenge and he was told by the umps that he was late and did not allow the challenge.

This organization is horrible at everything.

TA Rolled over on another to SS too comical. Thought for sure that AB would be his opo field base knock

I'm thinking about that play at 2B and why wasn't a veteran like Elvis anticipating a possible flip? I think that is more on him than Tim there.

Why not just bat TA 7th for a while? Couldn’t hurt anything.

If you are referring to his bat then yes, but he’s never been solid behind the dish at least not when he’s been a White Sox.

Vaughn garbage

One of the worse 1B defense in MLB.

3 quick outs. Ex Sox ALmonte mows em down.

TA not putting on much of a show for that Dodger trade

No answer....1,2,3....what a shocker

This is a tough game to be at.

1-2-3 no fight Sox

Grifol should be fired.  Also, Tim Anderson is the worst player in baseball the last two months IMO. Completely sucks in every aspect.

That was terrible by everyone on the team.  Frazier should  have hit the cutoff man there, Yaz can’t let it get past him and Santos didn’t back up the play.

The Three Stooges at work on this play.
