That place fell off a decade ago. Same with Mr. Beef on Harlem after they sold.

Grateful Jay's on Nagle and Bob-o's on Irving Park are still around.

Great job by Lance but Sox hitters didn’t help him a bit. Not sure if hitters is the word.

This was before Kelly went on the DL, but Bob Nightengale said he would be shocked if all of Giolito, Lynn, Clevinger, Kelly, Graveman and Bummer are not traded.

If Lynn is still a White Sox at the stroke of midnite, Rick Hahn is actually as stupid as we say he is.

There are going to be 23 teams still in the race for a playoff spot come the break. That makes this very much a sellers market. The Sox keep Robert, Vaughn and Cease. Everyone else is for sale.

Of course none of it matters if RH is still the GM.

I think they wait until the break hoping they show some life in the rest of this homestand.

Why is there a CPD chopper hovering over the stadium? Bizarre. Never seen this before.

The Sox were .500 each of the three tanking years in extra innings, but under .500 the past four years.

2016 was the last season the White Sox were over .500 in extra innings (8-7).

Grandal with an amazing day at the plate...2 K's and a tapper back to the pitcher.

He's safe. How does the ump miss that

I think andrus is in danger of setting a record for lowest qualified wRC+. He's within reach. Nefy Perez had a 39 and some dead ball era dude had a 38. Andrus is currently at 52, so he's got a little work to do still.

If there were no outs, I'd pinch run. Probably doesn't matter however.

24 total balls taken by 7th inning by white sox hitters

Unbelievable

With 12 ground balls and 11 Ks.  Only 2 fly ball outs.

Unfortunate luck for Oscar

Ump at first, isn't the best this inning.

Damn Chapman is good. He's just out

Ump at first not having a good inning

I still think keeping Cease is dumb.

I love that they're running out ground balls and making it close. there can be a millisecond difference between a good outcome and a bad outcome in baseball, minimize the probability of those bad outcomes by doing easy things like sprinting to first base

Today's game and atmosphere reminds me when I was 10 years old and would see my Dad kicked back in the recliner asleep with the chair right in front of the TV.  The Sox were always competitive back in the Harry & Jimmy and Harrelson & Drysdale days.  Now I know how my Dad felt trying to stay awake...

For me, getting close to where if Vaughn has an Eric Hosmer type career I will call that a win.

AV is regressing.
