Fire Chris Getz

Pride and ego that has blinded him to the reality that this organization has become a total train wreck over the last 10-15 years under his leadership. Dead last in revenue in the MLB and two years in a row of decline in franchise valuation when everyone else is going up in value (some franchises significantly going up). He's either oblivious to this franchise's problems or just doesn't care.

Firing Getz would likely mean some equally inept loyalist would take his place - probably with TLR involved in the selection process.

Hey, he moved Hawk from the broadcast booth to GM once, maybe next time he can do the same with Schriffen!

And when people doubt Getz, or his ability to turn around the Sox, a large piece of it is because of the Jerry factor. We saw first hand JR sabotage Hahn, Williams, and every GM and AGM before them. I sure don't have faith that he isn't going to knecap Chris too.

That power surge in the Venezuelan Winter League was obviously a result of bad pitching and meatballs. The Mets front office is probably still laughing at Getz about this trade.

I would hope there wasnt anyone actually putting any credence on winter league baseball results.

Or they could have simply spent that money adding to/around Robert…if they can’t even afford to go over $100 million, why is JR holding out until 2019-34?

Unironically, he wants to lead the lockout that is coming.

“He had a really good winter ball [season],” said Getz, giving further detail on Acuña on Monday. “He is making some adjustments to his swing this offseason to get more of a line drive, ball in the air, ball off the ground swing plane. And he’s made a lot of strides doing that. So look forward to seeing how that plays out.”

As much as I want Jerry to hand over the reigns to Ishbia asap and not wait until 2029-2034, at this point it makes sense to hold off on that until at least after the upcoming labor dispute is settled.

I know it's Jerry, but what's the record the Sox have to have before stopping Getz from being present at the MLB Draft? I'm convinced Getz is gonna try and outsmart everyone and try to a find a slappy, no-power infielder for the first pick.

Every minute of time left with Jerry is an eternity. GTFO. NOW!

30. Chicago White Sox (6-10)

Grant Taylor boasts the enviable combination of elite extension (how far down the mound a pitcher gets before releasing the ball) and elite velocity, meaning his heater is particularly daunting for hitters, and his breaking balls play up in turn. He isn’t the closer — in fact, he has served as the “opener” in four of his seven appearances — but Taylor already has a strong case as Chicago’s best bullpen arm, no matter how much the White Sox are paying Seranthony Dominguez to pitch the ninth.

Trade value guesstimates (as of today)…take your best shots lol

1. Grant Taylor

2. Munetaka Murakami

3. Seranthony Dominguez

3.5 Jordan Leasure

4. Anthony Kay/Davis Martin

6. Quero

7. Sean Newcomb

8. Erick Fedde

9. Austin Hays

10. Jordan Hicks

  1. Korey Lee/Hill/Peters/Murray, T.

  2. no Acuna Vargas Pereira yet lol

Move Newcomb up a spot and there is no value for anyone after 6.

It's all about Jerry’s tax burden.

Fair enough.

Quero just looks like he forgot how to play baseball…like Vargas after shock of leaving Dodgers set in.

So I had to look...

people mad at Getz JR from Day 1

Hahn took from 2013-2023 to disintegrate

Most of that time he was the genius prodigal son until he wasn’t

So, for discussion purposes only, what moves would you make in the next week or so if you were the GM?

Who would be in your line-up, in your rotation, and in the bullpen ?

Would you bring up Hagen Smith, Tanner McDougal, Caleb Bonemer, Sam Antonacci, Braden Montgomery... and if so, who would be moved down or out to make room for them?

My first moves at this time would be to DFA Benintendi and Acuna. My starting outfield would be Antonacci (LF), Everson Periera/Derek Hill (CF) , and Braden Montgomery (RF).

I would want to see McDougal up asap, at least as a set-up man in the bullpen. Not sure what I would do with the rotation, especially when pitchers are promoted from AAA and Shane Smith comes back. Perhaps a trade will be in the works at some point.

Just my opinions..
