This is either JR himself, Brooks Boyer or an NBCSN bot.

Not difficult to argue that the underspending by a lot of owners is just as big of a problem.

  • No, JR and the Sox and for that matter, Ricketts and the Cubs are not cheap or foolish for not risking tremendous amounts of money on these mega player contracts (including betting .7 Billion on

If true, it’s the best news for the Cease trade front IMO.

Every time hearing the Phillies, it's challenging not to imagine what could have happened for the Sox with Wheeler and Harper and without the likes of Grandal, Keuchel and Lynn soaking up payroll, although Lance was still very solid his first season.

Well one championship since 1951 in Los Angeles is a garbage record.

And the 2020 fake 60 game season and garbage 16 team playoff has a major asterisk. 1988 was the last Dodgers championship during an actual MLB season.

All 30 teams had a chance to win. The Dodgers won.

It's not an asterisk like the Trash Can Astros.

They're also consistently providing their fans with exciting baseball every season and going to the playoffs for a decade.

Holy s%*# I hate the Dodgers

Wow, good for them.  Did he wait until Rams game was over to announce?

The Dodgers org learned what the rest of baseball should have: Hire Rays FO personnel, give them cash.

Work will be fun tomorrow after endless banter between Red Sox and Yankees fans posturing that they were each OBVIOUSLY getting Yamamoto.

Lynn and Grandal were gets, at the time. The propeller-head stat-geeks loved Grandal almost as much as they loved Tyler Flowers' framing. And yes, most free agent signings don't turn out to have every year be an MVP season. Adding Wheeler and Harper to Lynn and Grandal would have been great. (Keuchel was a fallback after Wheeler's wife chose Philly, as I remember.)

I'm guessing JR or KW pulled the plug on Harper.

I kind of hope the Dodgers win the next 10 World Series and kill off all interest in baseball.  This superteam really s%*# sucks.
