Glad I was wrong. Thought for sure we were going to see a Maldonado passed ball there.

Unfortunately it all fell apart in the offseason when Getz decided he wouldn’t even pretend to care about offense.

I don't think we've seen a bunt yet have we? It's probably the only chance the Sox have. Swinging is obviously not working. Maybe testing Detroit's infield defense will do the trick.

I’d be happy with a 2-1 White Sox winner at this point.

I really don’t like the baby lettering on these New Jerseys, guess I won’t be getting a Maldonado authentic afterall

A++ post

"what's fun about this team is how many question marks there are, how many things could still happen to make this an incredible season for the White Sox"

Are you serious? This new guy is a dolt man.

He might as well be a pre-recorded list of org talking points.

Andrew Chafin looks like like he was involved in Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg.

It’s probably way more on Jerry than Getz.  He wanted to cut payroll a ton and it was probably agreed upon with Getz even before his promotion.  There’s a reason Jerry telegraphed and hyped up a bum like David Eckstein as his favorite player during the Getz press conference, and that’s exactly the type of players Getz acquired (DeJong, Lopez).

I’m shocked the new additions are hitless

Well done lol

What's the point of Pillar if he can't hit lefties?

I think JR made that decision for Getz when he saw the budget.

This team will be lucky to have 5 guys that hit the Mendoza line...

It sure sounds like Getz preached to Jerry that they had to become a defensively sound team

Defense lol

They might as well let Fletcher hit against lefties if this is the best Pillar can do.

Bottom half of the order as putrid as expected.

It's fun to be with you guys on opening day and watch Sox baseball but man this offense might be the worst in our lifetimes. It's going to get old fast.

Gaaaaarbaaaaaggeeeee

God I love having a weaker hitting Madrigal

He's a fifth OF at best, can back up Robert defensively. I personally would rather have Billy Hamilton, can PR as well and an upgrade over Pillar defensively. Should start Colas and let Fletcher back up the three positions to see if he can hit RHP consistently without unsustainable BABIP.

3 hits, not one single runner to 2nd base. Just about what we expected

Nicky with the light tower power, haha.  Go take some laps for hitting it in the air Nicky.
