A live arm lottery ticket would have been nice but you’re not exactly in a position of power at the negotiating table when the guys already been DFA.

22 years old and we just let him go for nothing. Guy hit 21 home runs and stole 31 bases last year and we just give him away.

Seriously.  The Sox are 1-6 and we have DeJong and Lopez as our trash infield tandem.  May as well have just called up Rodriguez and played him.

Why play young guys with potential, when you know exactly what you're getting out of these reliable veterans? Being reliably fucking terrible is still reliable, people.
