4/8 Sox @ Cleveland (4:10CT) - Banks vs. McKenzie

Featured Replies

Banks getting the nod as the opener.  Guess they just really don't want to cut Leone.  I'd say bobbling that easy play at 1B yesterday should have been the nail in the coffin.  I would have let Schuster go myself. He was scratched from AAA yesterday, so maybe that was more injury related.

I’m going with a W for this game just because the lineup and starter are so weak you would normally expect a blowout loss, but it’s still sometimes just fluky ‘ol baseball and the Sox will have to win a second game at some point.

3 run explosion yesterday. Pedro isn't messing around.

Over-under on how many Sox players get injured from the total eclipse.

I'm making this less painful to watch this team by betting against them.

I am starting 2 team parlays and leaving one spot open so I can bet against them the next day.

You and Jerry both making money off the Sox losing!

Look at that lineup.....

HAHAHAHA

Guy who is a career 327 OBP guy when leading off, gets the call to lead off.

At this point, a lineup of nine David Eckstein’s like JR fantasizes about might be better than our current lineup.

I'm going to watch today's game through my eclipse viewer, just for luck.

Yes, please wear eye protection while watching White Sox Baseball.

You won’t be able to see anything, but I am guessing that’s your goal.  ?

New team slogan…

”White Sox baseball — so bad, it can burn your retinas out.”

I am sadly considering this question far too deeply

I was thinking the opposite - I'm going to stare at the eclipse for a while - than watch the game on mute - hopefully at that point I'll think the other team is the White Sox and stick with that theme all season long.  140-22 here we come.

Not a whole lot of other options to lead off. I guess I'd try Moncada or Sheets there as the only two that seem to be able to work a walk every now and then.

With a fraction of the power and plate discipline.

Ridiculous in 2024 Banks is starting yet again

Do the White Sox have an insurance policy for Benintendi where they can get a good chunk of money back by convincing him it would be a good idea to stare directly at the eclipse?

Maybe Eloy or Moncada might even fall for it...

Maybe he's trying to be clever about the Final Four being in town as well...or perhaps he's trying to be a bit too humorous for his own good like Benetti?

By the time of that next solar eclipse in 2044 this Sox rebuild might finally be finished.

Batting leadoff is about the ONLY redeeming quality Benintendi has. And we won't even do that, in favor of Robbie F'n Grossman.
