The guy Robert reminds me of is Eric Davis to some degree. Davis put up some great years but was always injured.

TLR might have been a washed up drunk, but the dude had been around professional ballplayers for decades. He knew that he had a bunch of prima donnas and china dolls on the roster and tried to delay the inevitable injuries for as long as possible.
