I have Directv stream and get the channel but don't watch it and haven't for a while.  Just need to go in and cancel...I think I already did.

What channels are missing from Directv stream?

I could understand if they said "Starting next year, no more antenna" but to take it away 3 months later with zero notice is just a complete disregard for the customers.

So we all have to buy an antenna in March to watch the White Sox only for 3 months later to be told it's not available anymore and we have to get a carrier to watch baseball?  Jerry Reinsdorf can suck

Laurence Holmes has the price breakdown for the app. 19.99 a month per team. 29.99 a month for all teams or 300 per year for all.

This honestly this isn't all that different when compared to other streaming apps.

Marque is $20/month and that's for one team.

Altitude's app for the Nuggets and Avalanche games is $19.95/month.

The Pelicans streaming app is $14.99/month.

Now if you want to complain about the quality of the product, then that's a different story. But compared to what other teams are beginning to launch, it really isn't anything outrageous, unless you disagree with type of service. Sign of the times.

that's BS. they were charging MUCH more for CSN/NBCsn before you even factor in marquee.

At some point I will invest in the antenna but no time soon.  The Phil Nevin era doesn't intrigue me, nor the Bulls and the Blackhawk's still stinks.

If you're handy guy, there are YouTube videos about making your own antenna.

That seems like more work than just paying 30 bucks.

Hopefully my smart tv will have it.

I will not be paying $360 a year to watch three bad teams.  Looks like twitter and ESPN updates for me

I bought a RCA amplified hdtv antenna last week. There were only two easy steps to connect it to my tv which took less than one minute. While the picture isn’t as rich as cable or streaming it’s pretty darn good.

How about $240 for the worst team in the history of it's sport?

Also, this indoor antenna which is amplified gives you excellent audio which the non-amplified won’t. The non amplified also will probably give you less stations. The amplified antenna was $31.00 at Best Buy and has a range of 45 miles.

I just wish the central Iowa station they have listed actually carried CHSN

You can’t get either channel where you are?  Any idea if anyone is getting them throughout your state?

Des Moines, IA: KDMI, 19.4

Cedar Rapids, IA: KWKB, 20.5

A few people called into the score today talking about issues with the signal, and a few said they get it fine.  Spiegel said he can’t get it in his place near the loop, but Holmes said he gets it in really clear.  Very inconsistent

If CHSN ends up being a collosal failure, does that end up being the nail in the coffin that does drive the Sox out of Chicago? Or is there a fall back plan as far as TV rights?  CHSN is by no means a sure thing from what I'm hearing from Jason Coyle

Yep, mine looks and sounds great. My antenna is literally sitting sideways on a shelf too. I live in Lakeview though, so I'm in a prime spot for the signal.

CHSN literally just updated their website to take away the two Iowa channels. I check KDMI every once in a while and they never put the channel on.

Lot of teams are going through issues right now and aren't planning on moving. The rights are going to be owned by MLB entirely eventually.

But none of those teams are looking at 3-4 consecutive years of 100 losses, including the worst season of all-time...and the White Sox tv ratings were always relatively low compared to the Cubs, and that's even when they were good in recent years (2020/21).

Bwahahaha, you’re right.  I literally copied and pasted those two Iowa channels straight from their website two hours ago when I responded to your post and now both Iowa channels are instead listed as “Coming Soon”.

How in the hell do you f*** that up?  This is truly a shitshow.  🤣

I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention that this rca antenna has a phone app whereby you are shown where the signal tower is and it pinpoints exactly which direction to face the antenna. You lock into it.

Can you provide a link?  I usually buy the cheapo plastic flat square antennas when they are $5 bucks online.
