And the reports include that it is two of their top five. Their top 5 is the two pitchers with super high ceilings in Chase Burns and Rhett Lowder who hit the majors last year as the top 2, then Arroyo. Stewart and Collier also come in as IF prospects with some helium. The Sox could use any and all combinations of players there.

While this does make sense, I think we also have to consider that Tito was in Cleveland dealing with the exact same s%*# and he didn’t b**** and complain, he just figured it out and won. Now maybe it’s different for the Reds because of promises made, but I can’t imagine he thought they would be bellying up to the bar with the Dodgers in contract talks

Cincinnati is still a smaller market team after all. But I just can't see Francona at his age and with his health history, choosing the Reds of all teams if there weren't some convincing assurances. He could have any job he wanted at this point in his career, why willingly chose another small market team with cheap ownership and all of the bullshit that comes with that?
