He fits right in then.

Late to the party, but his .624 career OPS is technically a step up from the 2024 Sox team OPS of .618.

Yay progress?

As he should be.

It sure looks like Martín Pérez is going to be making his first Opening Day start after 13 years in the Majors and 269 starts (and 314 games). Don’t look too surprised: He did make it to the All-Star Game just two seasons ago.

Per Garfien Benintendi and Slater taking bp today....they hope to play Wednesday.

Wow, that's quick for Benintendi. I wonder if it's braced?

He probably wants to start hit so he can be traded.

He downplayed it right away. Said he could make a fist the day after. Hopefully he's not rushing it.

Not shocked by any of those guys. 12 NRI’s still in camp. 40 man roster crunch gonna be fascinating. Looks like they break camp with even more AAAA types than last year. Rotation looks okay. Line up and bullpen seem problematic. SS seems down to Meidroth/Amaya/Tristan Gray

The rotation this season is at least interesting and worth a watch. Especially if Smith is in it.

The position player side of things though. Woof.

Yeah, they are going to struggle to score. Hopefully in the second half with meidroth, Teel, quero and Montgomery they get things going.

They should have a lot more traffic on the bases this year with some guys that can talk some walks - so hopefully that leads to something.

I think the infield and catcher situations will be fine.  On top of the guys who seem likely to make the OD roster, we should also see Montgomery, Ramos, Teel, & Quero at some point.  The group might not be overly productive this year, but they should be an interesting follow at minimum.

Which AAAA types do you anticipate making the roster?

Looks like Jankowski, Michael A. Taylor, Tauchman will all be in the outfield. Amaya still has a good shot to make the team, and it’s not like Vargas or Sosa has really done anything in mlb. They are going to struggle to not be last in runs scored again.

Imagine not making this roster…

How soon until Fletcher is selling car insurance?

Rojas with a hairline fracture.  God help the left side of our infield.

He was going to line up at 2B lol

Edit: unless he was going to possibly be the starting SS afterall.

How long is he out for? The Sox have zero luck when it comes to lefty hitters. Their line up vs. righties will have 6 or 7 right handed hitters in it. Sliders ahoy!

They really believed Montgomery was gonna make the team it seems

Where is the fracture? How did it happen?

Vargas, Sosa, Drury, Vaughn from left to right. Seems straightforward to me.

I see that it is in his great toe. Can be painful as you need to push off with that toe. However, i don't it keeps him out more than a week or 2.

we'll remember these as the days of our innocence
