I mean, they aren’t going to come out and say they’re close on a trade and they are sitting him.  I’m sure this just the BS that Venable been asked to feed the press.

Robert getting injured wouldn’t be a surprise either.

They could have listed him in the lineup 4 hours before game though, even if a trade is close

From a game theory perspective, why not show him sitting and make other potential buyers think a deal is close?  I just don’t buy this groin thing…when did it happen?  He actually finished out Wednesday’s night game.  And hopefully they aren’t pushing him too hard on their days off.  I call BS on all of that.

And that is exactly why he needs to go. Get rid of the last injury prone headache of that era.

Normally I would think your logic on this one is obnoxious,  but I'm totally with you now. That era of broken down players can't leave my mind soon enough.

I’ll give it an hour then decide it isn’t that.

‘Diminishing Skills’, but you want to keep him for four more years.

Yet you fail to see why people can’t take these posts seriously.

Diminishing skills do not mean no skills, and I suggest 2-4 years at 10-14-M, not the 20 M option cost.  Lastly, you can drop the attitude as well.

His groin probably gets a bigger workout on off days.

I don’t see the benefit of putting it out there that he’s out with groin tightness, if it isn’t actually that. Teams already have to be skeptical of his injury history.

This was my first thought.
