He is laying back like a private equity investor or something. These can’t be serious posts. One, he is not the controlling owner yet. Second, does his ownership stake increase if he infuses more capital into the org? Third, what we would even spend on during the middle of the season? Fourth, do you have any idea how private equity even works?
Quin
I definitely thought I was in the stadium thread, but I'm actually in the Hot Dog vs. Pope thread.

Chicago White Sox
To be fair, Tray is very much pro Judaism and Chicago style hot dogs, he just hates Justin Ishbia, private equity, and the thought of a ballpark at the 78 site. And unfortunately his takes on the latter three subjects quickly become delusional and he starts hurling insults at those who refuse to accept his false realities. JoeC
Back on topic now. Would burning a hot dog actually produce white smoke? Like, fully incinerating one.

ewokpelts
Rome is 7 hours ahead of Chicago. Which means the only games he can watch live are day games here. And ironically, that means he has less Sox games to potentially watch than the cubs!

What I worry might be uncool is what they're going to charge to sit there. Hopefully nothing more than what is typical, but "the market" will almost certainly determine it to be a valuable seat. If the Sox don't charge extra for it, the resale market might be nuts. Maybe they reserve it for special guests, Catholic or otherwise, and keep it vacant so folks can come take photos of it/with it. Not like the park is selling out any time soon lol. The mere association will likely draw new fans to the ballpark anyway. I think they're partnering with the local archdiocese and when they held that mass a few months ago, they only charged $5 for a ticket. So maybe they charge a bunch for it but donate the funds to the archdiocese. Profiteering off the Pope strikes me as sleazy at best and so far they've been pretty good about it. The merchandise companies, don't think you could say the same.
