So our pitching depth is so deep that we have to sign a 32-year old journeyman to start a game tomorrow?  Oops…

Are you making a point or waiting until the consensus of the majority weighs in before you choose a side ?

I kinda wish they would have brought back Flexen. If he's eventually cut by the Cubs, I wouldn't mind picking him up. He at least ate innings last year and pitched to a 1.6 WAR (per BR). He settled on a minor league deal late in the offseason.

He’s old and bad.  Didn’t think I would have to spell it out, but I guess I did.

Not much of a point.  Of course he is thats why he's available. Thank you CPT. Obvious.

Looked like you were making some kind of point about the pitching depth since that's what you wrote .

I know what you are saying.

As has been pointed out the top pitching talent appears to have regressed (big surprise right?) plus you've had six pitchers have TJS, a seventh (Gus Varland) may need it and an eight (Martin Perez) as well.

Only in the world of the White Sox.

Yes, that too.  The offseason pitching depth has been depleted by both injuries and poor performance.

Amazing that you were so easily able to comprehend my previous post!

Well duh. I gave you a chance to clarify you position but all you said was Houser is old and bad.  Now you need Lip to help you be more coherent ? Maybe your point wasn't even obvious to you.

So youre saying circumstances beyond any GMs control  ( i.e. injuries) necessitate picking up less than desirable options to try not to suck as much.

Who is arguing the current version of the 2025 White Sox organization with injuries and whatnot has MLB ready pitching depth?

Lip immediately knew what I was saying and agreed with me.  You?  Not so much.  I wasn’t being cryptic so I’m not sure what to tell you…

What "top" pitching talent has regressed? And what's with the sarcastic "big surprise right?" It's like the one thing the Sox are very good at.

The point is that they were supposed to.  Getz’s starting pitching depth that didn’t unfortunately suffer injuries also failed performance-wise.  See guys like Iriarte, Clevinger, and Owen White.  Nastrini too, but he was technically acquired when Hahn was the GM.

Noah Schultz has been pretty bad this year so far, which I am sure he is referencing. Only been 36 IP so far though.
