Wisdom couldn’t even hit lefties in his most recent MLB sample and is now 34. Unless it’s a spring training invite, I don’t get the point of this.

Probably some sort of Veteran role guy like Tauchman was that they like to have around, hopefully nothing more than spot starting on the field and DH if he gets hot.    He is pretty streaky but maybe they more want him in a reserve role occasionally starting as opposed to playing every day

Why in Zeus’s name would the Sox want another R/R corner bat?! He’s in the Amaya, Capra, Palacios tier that makes this team so hard to watch.

He’s available and would cost peanuts.  Right up the Sox alley.

Maybe they're getting real interest in Sosa and are just kicking tires in case O'Hearn is gone or is priced out of their range. Somebody mentioned the Sox had interest in Emilio Pagan, and that certainly didn't materialize.

He also hit .236 with 142 strikeouts in 486 PA.

It’s pathetic what this team has come to.  Trying to get deals on mediocre or washed-up players that played overseas.

Yikes... This is really reaching if Getz thinks this is worth pursuing. KBO pitchers, I can understand, but hitting? Even with no true 1B on the team there are easily 10-15 other guys I'd rather they go after than bringing him on.

It already is a laughingstock. The published comments from former players to national outlets goes a long way in explaining how bad things have gotten.

Thankfully the Rockies and A's still exist. Sox are bad, but there are other teams in the same boat.
