From what I can tell Peyton Pallette has yet to pitch in spring game for Cleveland; is that a good sign he should be coming back before opending day?

"I'm not paying for this!  You said you were going to fix my car!  All you did was make it work like it did previously!"

  • If it were me, I’d walk down to Acuna and demand he bat switch hitter all season.

Nope, kid is fucking cooked.  If you ain’t fixed before your first full minor league season as a prep pick then it’s officially game over man.

Pallette has yet to make his Cactus League debut due to right shoulder fatigue, SI.com reports.

Would be nice. Not sure why they didn’t protect him in the first place.

Honestly it might be easier to keep him then.  They can use some IL time, and also use a rehab assignment to kill part of the season if they like him.  Technically he only has to be on the ACTIVE roster for 90 days of a season to fill his roster requirement.

That's two guys now that I think have had soreness in their side areas. have to be careful those don't cause long term issues.

Remember when the Sox acquired Ken Griffey Jr.?

Why hasn’t Schultz and Smith pitched this Spring in an actual game?

Schultz pitched today. Threw 2 innings against the Brewers.

I wonder how many strikeouts he has.

I was thinking last night of seeing the D'Backs vs. Mariners until I seen lawn prices were $80.

Do ST prices get lower towards the season?

I was looking at Sox vs. Royals a week before the season, $30 for the lawn. '

I also wonder if you wont see the guys on the league roster play.

Seems like he'll be ready for game action soon

mlb.com projected lineup

Lineup
1. Chase Meidroth, 2B
2. Kyle Teel, C
3. Colson Montgomery, SS
4. Munetaka Murakami, 1B
5. Miguel Vargas, 3B
6. Austin Hays, RF
7. Andrew Benintendi, LF
8. Edgar Quero, DH
9. Brooks Baldwin, CF

Murakami will have his first big league camp interrupted by competition for Team Japan in the World Baseball Classic, but he arrived with pitchers and catchers to get an early start. Luisangel Acuña could be the center fielder on Opening Day, while manager Will Venable will rotate players through the designated hitter spot.

Rotation
1. Shane Smith, RHP
2. Davis Martin, RHP
3. Anthony Kay, LHP
4. Erick Fedde, RHP
5. Sean Burke, RHP

Has Hays played RF in a game yet this spring?

Just eight games the last three years in the big leagues in RF.

Even if he was playing RF instead of LF/DH...he would need to be playing nearly every day to be fully prepared.

It's a lot like sticking Pollock into RF in similar circumstances in 2022.

Acuna is 100 pct starting.  Might be leading off as well.

I think most days (against righties) will be: Hays in LF, Acuña in CF, Baldwin in RF with AB DHing.
