If you had told me a year ago Colson Montgomery would be a 40 homer, elite defense guy at the big league level I would have been …speechless probably. He’s such a valuable player.

Love this team. Also as much of an optimistic person i am...Braden is gonna have to get sent down if he doesn't improve over the next week. He is totally overmatched.

He is still raw - got to be patient and let him go through the process and develop. He’s going to be an above average all around player.

Sox just need to let him get 300 PA in MLB this year and see how he does. He has some great tools, nobody else is even close to his floor in the system in a corner spot as an athlete with power upside.

How the Sox shore up the pitching staff is anybody's guess right now.

Venable has made due with a less than ideal rotation thus far. Employing an Opener has helped. Also Will keeps a short leash on pitchers to try to keep games within striking distance. Also, let's not discount the importance of the White Sox come-back offense that keeps (most*) relievers focused and competitive. There is a synergy there.

*Seranthony is the exception.

Huge win, we don’t want any long losing streaks. Burke was great and Beni came through in the clutch. Back in first place, on to Detroit where the Sox should take 2 games, things might be tough tonight as the Sox probably didn’t get to Motown until 3AM.

Was at the game and a few things

• Had a feeling Sox would win once Doval came in cause the scoreboard kept pimping his high K/BB rate. Right next to a sky high ERA. Didn't know Beni was gonna send it flying, but given how the park plays for lefties...yeah.

• Sitting in the RF porch is cool.

• Please stop moving Colson off shortstop.

• Yankees fans are hysterical. Absolutely despise Volpe. People screamed when he came in. I was practically pulling for him, then when he got thrown out both times, it was like "ok, yeah, I get it."

• Some kids started cheering "Wemby sucks" to get vibes up and adults changed it to "Yankees suck."

• Sox fans were out representing!

• Burke looked absolutely fire, even from the outfield. Please keep looking fire.

• Everyone was very concerned about Jazz. Gotta learn from Terry.
