Tribe have been playing alright and the Twins are playing decent and the Sox are playing alright and the Tigers are playing alright. @CaliSoxFanViaSWside had a good post last night basically entire central other than Royals been .500 last two weeks. It would be nice to open up a little gap before the weekend, agreed.

Not sure I love Teel leading off, but I guess an extra AB or two ahead of a probable day off tomorrow could be good for him.

Interesting lineup. They seem to like Perez quite a bit as a waiver find. He's been OK I guess, nice to get Sam off his feet for a game.

Grichuk OPS's .570 against RHPs this year, whereas Perez' splits are a little more neutral. And Perez is a much better fielder.

Prolly just banged up as @soxrwhite said. Gotta protect him from himself a bit. edit: apparently he went into the tunnel after the slide. Hopefully just a rest day.

Exactly. My guess is that Will told him to sit and Psycho Sam was disappointed. Our guy wants to play every day even after taking one or two for the team.

This starter for the Os has been awful lately. ERA around 7 his last few turns. Nice to finally be avoiding the TOR guys and hopefully can feast on him tonight. Not having Sam and Mune is a blow but hopefully Gonzo and others can continue to step up.

Sure is refreshing seeing even a 680 OPS out of Gonzo, holding his own, giving us some value here and there. I'm used to just seeing guys come up and completely fail.

That home plate umpire sure is a handsome fella.
