He might be making some questionable tradeoffs to get that (like the ball getting deep on him), but I like the adaptability. And if we're asking him to take more aggressive hacks, it's a lot easier to do that starting from a point where he's making better than average contact.

I think it’s a good way to keep your head above water when settling in.
