I like TA. He played hard on a team where few did. Somewhat surprised, but glad to celebrate a Sox All Star position player of which there have been very few in my lifetime.

TA retired no way thought he was on Charlotte. ??

They have these on the bridge across 35th St from the ramps/gift shop/bar to the stadium. Yeah, that's pretty cool to see.

The Brewers are another team who have successfully done this by creating a "walk of fame/wall of honor".

Gasp, a professional athlete, is not a role model. While I do not agree with his personal decisions and by no means respect what he did to his wife and family, I wonder how many of us would be ok with having our dirty laundry being aired with the entire world. Many of the people trashing him, have the same or a worse moral compass. To each their own. I will be in NY for work, if not I'd go to the game.

A fair perspective but from many accounts TA was inviting his jumpoffs into the front row at the same time his wife and young daughter were traveling with the team. I mean, he was a DOG from all accounts. I don't really rate infidelity that high on the list of sins, but dude was pushing the limits of what any married man can get away with, famous athlete or not.

I agree with most. Much too soon. We're trying to move past that era. I honestly see people at the ballpark with Kopech or Moncada jerseys and I get irrationally angry lol. I can name a lot of people from this organization that deserve a night ahead of his. They simply saw the sellout from the Ozzie game and saw another chance for some more green, thats all this is.

I’m pretty sure I remember seeing a picture/video of TA in the passenger seat of a car his baby mama was driving while pregnant with his unborn child. I think it was Instagram or Snapchat.

This is true but social media made TA’s affair very public, as in we could see it live. No one was in a hotel rooms seeing Wilt give the Stilt to multiple women.

I dunno, most of the tepid to negative reactions on this thread have nothing to do with Anderson's personal life and more to do with the weirdness of the timing and circumstances.

I think the athletes of yesteryear would have a dramatically different public opinion of them if we were able to see everything they did on TikTok & Instagram

I really like the idea of Tim Anderson. He seemed like a nice kid, a bit immature, but nice, nonetheless. He was great for the franchise. I liked a bold, mouthy kid as the face of the team. Gave them a swagger. He couldn't exactly walk the walk for an extended period, however.

As far as the cheating, do any of us married dudes have any friends that cheat? They don't really remain friends for long. If the wife finds out about them, hoo-boy have I got some 'splainin' to do. "Why are you hanging around with him? Why did you keep this from me?" TA wasn't my friend, but you know what you do to make your marriage work, and I just lost a little respect for him, even though in 35 years of marriage, I think I was in the same zip code of "you wanna come upstairs for a drink?" maybe once, and he dealt with that on a daily basis.

What do they do with retire portfolios when you speak with a retirement advisor? Pressure test. Run your situation through simulated economic crisis. See how strong the portfolio is.
