This is such a huge fucking game. With complete uncertainty on who pitches tomorrow & Wednesday, you really need to take game 1 and limit any potential damage the next two days. Hopefully Castillo can build off his last start and get us the W tonight.

Gonna be there all three. I get fired up for this series. I hate the Cubs. Our teams play the same sport--in the same league--in the same city. As far as I'm concerned if you grew up here and that doesn't mean anything to you you're either (1) an odd sports fan entirely out of step with the natural, universal dynamic of intra-city sports rivalries everywhere or (2) you're lying. Have a feeling the Tigers and Twins will drop more games this week as they both have tough opponents. Taking 2 of 3 would be massive. Want as much distance between them and the Whtie Sox when we meet next.

I like how the BP was rearranged. They got rid of the guy who early in the season was most likely to get a save but regressed to the guy most likely to blow a save. They also have a few guys who can go multiple innings but then they can't recover as quickly. Most people don't know it but combined the BP has 32 saves. Hagen Smith and Hicks are volatile so Venable hasn't put them in save situations but they are getting more and more chances to open innings late in the game.

Unfortunately we're down to 3 starting pitchers and unless you're willing to call up Shane Smith or Cannon to maximize innings pitched beyond 4 that BP is going to be maxed out into ineffectiveness. Somehow though they always seem to find a way ,

Mune has 6 HRs vs Shota in only 43 career at bats facing him in Japan. Safe to say he hits him pretty well .

One of my best friends who was a also college roommate of mine from 2004-2006 converted from Cubs to Sox after the Bartman game. I still can't fully trust him knowing he was capable of such antics.

A Sox father and his son walk into the restroom at Wrigley, both do their business and start to walk out, a Cubs father says "HEY, here on the North Side we teach our sons to wash their hands!". Without missing a beat, still walking, Sox father says, "huh, on the South Side we teach our sons to take a leak without pissing all over themselves".
