They get shut down less than most teams in the league.

Times scoring 3 or fewer runs:

  • T- Lowest: MIL, PIT, LAD at 51

  • T-2nd: CWS, PHI, TBR at 53

Good pitching (and/or bad luck) can beat good offenses, that's baseball.

This team has shown all year they aren’t out of a game because of their offense. Sometimes you just get beat.

I assume most offenses around the league are mostly feast or famine and we just don't see it because we aren't watching.

He's also on pace to be one of the best home run hitters in league history while playing elite defense. Being mad at strikeouts specifically is a complaint that hasn't been relevant for 40 years.

Colson also has a higher batting average and more homers than Mune with RISP. Mune has far less chances though.

Let's pump the breaks on 'best in league history' on anything, professor.

Fucking hell the doomers coming in here just now after having not seen the innings against Holmes. The fact he had a no hitter going was the purest, dumbest, blindest luck I've seen a good while.

Can't wait for the usual posts with their forecast of doom soon.

Not sure why we're hellbent on proving Doyle was a good pickup (he wasn't) by inserting him into every situation possible.

Better not come in sleep walking against the Mets this weekend. We need to win these home game

Since the break, he has 3 homeruns in 32 games.

It's a valid complaint right now, because he's not delivering with homers as of late. It was tolerable pre-ASB because the dude had 23 homers in the first 95 games. Basically a homer every 4 games, rather than one every 11.

He literally is on that pace. It's just a division problem, capn.

I had a feeling this would be a stinker. Come back tomorrow and start winning series.

One thing being drowned out by all the retired professional baseball players here is that Trevor Richards has been turned into a pretty solid bullpen piece from a waiver wire nobody.

Not even close

Mune! Challenge!

I'm not surprised there's a bit of a hangover after that playoff like Cubs series. Wish today was an off day.

Absolutely.

To best one of the best in league history, you can't hate huge stretches where you are basically averaging a home run every 10-11 games.

Another grounder from him

If they don't challenge I swear to effing god...

It's also immensely frustrating watching another pitching gem go unrewarded because this offense sat on a stick. They didn't even try today.

Hold your guns. It’s never over until it’s over. We have the meat of our lineup batting in the bottom of the ninth, with home run potential. If we can hit at least a homer we still have a chance. Forget the small ball, which we are not good at.

Ole Rubber Arm has actually been pretty awesome for what they ask him to do.

Buddy there's already 2 outs.

Taking strikes, swinging at offspeed s%*# (I do love watching Iglesias though)

If they don't challenge, when?

So bad at challenging
