  • Didn't even bother turning this game on after last night. Detroit is going to sweep these bums. Season was all smoke and mirrors. Another poorly managed, poorly coached team. Awful trade deadline made

This franchise put up literally the worst season the the 125 year history of major league baseball under Jerry Reinsdorf, and now sits dead last in MLB in revenues. Your "threat" rings hollow at best

Can’t believe pipsqueak Petey hit a 3R bomb to beat us 🤦‍♂️

5 straight fastballs with the lefty-lefty matchup is just inexcusable

I admire the positive thinking, but this game is over sadly

Our big chance was last night. One strike away from a win, and we throw a hittable pitch to Rocchio on a 0-2 count , and we had a second baseman Ant in LF who couldn’t catch a fly ball, and had taken two time gold glover Doyle out of the game. A complete screw up. This turned our season around for the worse.

Beginning of the end

It's just so disappointing knowing how close we were to basically ending the division this week. This team teased us all summer only to choke in the worst way when it counts. It's just so cruel.

He did look good, just have to see same velocity as a starter

More so he needed his slider that he had early in his career back.

Not that old but I did attend game 2 of the 1959 World Series.

That's awesome, Sox lost vs the Dodgers right? The losing part sucked of course but you got to see a little bit of history

Was a couple of weeks ago.

The Tigers should have run away with this division. The Indians take advantage of the extra draft picks like the Brewers do. It is the new anomaly in baseball. We can say they stink but they beat bad teams consistently and get blew out by the better teams.

That pitch was high and awfully fast. Roccio fought it off fair. Is what it is. True outfielder makes that play.

Will comments on pregame radio show were embarrassing about last nights loss 🙈

And then the Meidroth mistake early today...the Murphy opener mistake.

Pitching to Adell with a lefty.

Pitching to Ramirez with a lefty.

Walking catchers.

What he say?

They win tomorrow theyre even again. And then the final nine they need to get their head right.

This loss wouldn't of hurt so bad if last night didn't end the way it ended

'Twas a fun run in 1st, and an unexpected one.

Yep 4 games to 2, the game I attended was a heartbreaker, if we had won that game most think we would have won the Series, we were the favorites.

If Schultz would have pitched to Halpin instead of Newcomb we win this game. He is fresher than Newcomb. IMO.

Honestly, our rotation is already pretty set for 2027. Burke, Martin, Kay, Schultz, Smith. Problem is, that’s not really that inspiring…

*Ahead due to the tiebreaker

As painful as the last 18 hours have been, its still right there for the Sox.

Win 3/4 from DET, 2/3 from KC and 2/3 from COL and I have to image that is good enough to win the ALC. Now, the Sox going 7-3 over their next 10 sounds much more daunting when you state it that way.

The Guardians have turned lots of non high first rounders into very good pitchers....

Yeah he is not a manager that can win big games for you

McDougal and Thorpe likely fit in there somewhere.
