It’s baseball. Anything can happen. It might be delusional but it’s possible. I choose hope over defeat when mathematically it’s far from over.

It’s never over until it’s over. Don’t stop now boys. You can do it.

To paraphrase Dennis Green: "The White Sox are what we thought they were! They’re what we thought they were! ... the White Sox are who we thought they were! Now if you want to crown them, then crown their ass! But they are who we thought they were ...!"

Win the series. Not negotiable.

And when I say "not negotiable", I mean, NOT NE-FUCKING-GOTIABLE.

Sorry boys, I love what this team has done this year but last night was the death blow.

The bullpen is pretty much dead.

The only recipe I see is that Burke picthrs six or seven Innings today. And you will have to rely on guys like Castillo to finish out the game.

Thats if you have a lead.

If im will V I do not pitch Newcomb, Hudson, Smith, taylor, until Tuesday....they have nothing left right now.

Particularly Newcomb..

It's is hard to be optimistic especially after we blew a big lead last night.

I forgot what a lineup against a righty looks like. Pretty nice.

Please save us Mother Nature 🥲

Have there been any updates on Tristan peters?

Not since last night. Day-to-day with left shoulder and rib contusion.

Keep fighting, guys.

Still rooting for a rainout. They need the rest. Also just realized we haven't had a single doubleheader this year.

As a sage Sox fan told me many years ago, "Hope for the best, expect the worst..."

Or like my dad used to say, "The Sox would screw up a two car funeral..."

How is it that McDougle and Thorpe have not been called up? Is our system so weak that we don’t have any pitching that can at least help a staff that is in desperation mode? We don’t have AAA or AA pitchers who could have helped protect a 6 run lead?

McDougal was awful after getting sent down

Nobody else? Our farm system is that weak?

Maybe Irquidy could have eaten some innings yesterday without blowing the lead. Oh wait, never mind.

He wasn't rock solid but he had his moments, just ask the Cubs. Instead he was cut and they kept Castillo who is so bad he's not even being used.

Lack of quality starting pitching finally caught up with them at the worst possible time. Last night was just an extremely painful example of it. You have an 8-2 lead in the 3rd but your starter can only go 4 leaving a tired bullpen to cover 5 innings. And even though the offense didn't score after the 3rd if your starter gives you 7 strong innings 8 runs is enough to win that game.

The Sox lead the AL in runs scored. If they had any quality starting pitching they win the AL Central going away.

Given the way this season has gone, Burke will pitch an inning and then there will be a 2 hour delay and Sox will need 8 innings of relief

The good thing is Texas and Toronto play each other so someone has to lose.

A win coupled with a loss there by one of them keeps us in a good spot for at least a WC. Hopefully the As will help us out too but I'm not holding my breath there.

Rangers and Astros have easy schedules after this weekend. Sox are in big time trouble now
