Braden is a big piece of this organization going forward. Why would you not play him and get him the playoff type of experience right now. It's only going to help him grow. You can always pinch hit for him if the situation calls for it.

I don't see any evidence that he's a big piece going forward.

Our season hangs in the balance? We're 97% odds to make playoffs. There is nothing in the balance other than a 1/100 year type collapse. Win 3 games and we're almost assured playoffs. Win 4 and we've got 2/3 odds at a division title.

3-4 months for sure, but hard to guarantee another full season if he's in the low 600s or even 500s for ops.

Trying to manipulate the results to avoid the Yankees by losing out seems a sure way to get knocked out by whoever wins the West...getting "too cute" never seems to work.

If that does happen they might need to go back to just two WC teams but three is already baked into additional revenues of more teams having something to play for.

Both leagues are going down to wire with WC seeding as well as AL Central/West and one of the losers getting knocked out completely this week.

A win tonight gets our Sox very close to a clinch.

Red Sox not exactly rolling out their A team lineup tonight against Cleveland. Hopefully Tolle shuts Cleveland down anyways.

you could easily make the argument that he shouldn't even be in the major leagues right now, that's how bad he is

that isn't a proclamation on his future, thats having a consistent out maker on a potential playoff team

if you want him on your roster, use him as a PH/defensive replacement vs RHP, but he shouldn't be starting

He's been like a 1 WAR regular. Bad, but not horrific, and we don't have a lot of better options. That said, he should be on a strict platoon.

Not surprising that Peters is yet to start. It was encouraging to see him pinch run and play in the outfield as a defensive substitution.

Hopefully he gets in tomorrow but I wasn’t expecting him until we get back home for the final series of regular season play.
