My blood pressure is already elevated, breathing exercises to game time:

1. Step 1: Take a deep, sharp inhale through your nose.

2. Step 2: At the very top of that breath, take a second, quick "sneak" inhale to fully inflate your lungs.

3. Step 3: Let out a long, slow exhale through your mouth.

So burke not starting - I get why - but stupid.

I get it believe me. I have been on this ride with the Sox for well over 50 years. You do what you got to do to get through these games and these seasons. Baseball is unique in that the season is so long with so many games that you really get emotionally invested as a fan.

Right now I just want this team to make the playoffs. Of course I would love to see them win the Division but just making the playoffs would be so great after the last 3 years. Also it would be great experience for all the young guys on this team and something to really build on.

Schultz. Woudl imagine Hudson and Hicks could also go an inning. Brazoban is also probably able to go.

It’s all good buddy, we’re all psychos here. Caring a lot makes the highs higher and the lows lower. It’s just the nature of this dumb/great thing we subject ourselves to.

I really don't understand why we're not starting Burke in order to set our rotation for a possible WC round.

Would love to see C. Montgomery break out today. You can see he is really in his own head big time. These are the games you see who shrinks and who you can depend on to step up. Get that playoff spot clinched and I think we will see this team relax and make some noise in the playoffs.

I'm sorry If I missed something but was there a rationale given on why no Burke today?

I get the idea of not moving defenders but I do not like it, Colson has been awful. Roll with Meidroth and Antonacci on the infield and Grichuk in LF. Hell I'd take Doyle over Colson at this point. Not Acuna but I am getting closer on that one.
