Minnesota is still debating a new stadium.

The City of San Francisco seemingly wants some tax or income related info from the Giants that the Giants don't want to give up.

And, in classic MLB style...WADA still says they didn't conduct testing before the WBC, and they have no idea if baseball complied with the WADA testing codes.

I was watching some of the Sox highlights from opening day on ESPN and when a shot of Iguchi came up, they said:  "lookin' at Iguchi it's about that time',  :lolhitting

 :notworthy

Who said that? Awesomeness, Still Fly is one of the great stupid songs of all time (if that makes sense).

Johan looks very sharp for the Twins so far.

Well, that was a pleasant turn of events. 3-1 Toronto after a BOMB by B. Molina.

It never hurts to have a division team lose to an out of division team. No matter what time in the year.

GO JAYS :)

Absolutely not, especially when Johan is on the mound.

WTF Shannon Stewart just made an absurd catch...............

Johan had a "Slow" start last year too...in the sense that he occasionally gave up more than 3 runs a game for the first 2 months of the season. I think he gave up like 4 runs on opening day last year or something.

Nice catch by Stewart.

Tony Batista with a solo shot. 4-2 Blue Jays now. Twins have 2 innings to score.

Damn, the Marlins are destroying Houston 10-0 even though Andy Pettitte started the game. Mitre is throwing a gem.

Minny staying in this game....

Not anymore. Twinkies lose 6-3 to the Blue Jays!

we got 2 homeruns

which shocked me!

but they were solo homeruns

just like last year

=/

Adam Eaton has had his surgery, he may be down for 4 months.

Bobby Crosby missed last night's game with the Yankees due to a finger injury, but it shoudlnt' sideline him for too long.

Sabathia is probably out 3-5 weeks, just like he was last year to start the season. You know...there is something to be said for getting proper conditioning before Spring Training.

The average salary in 2006 has gone up 9%, and the top 3 paid players are all, get this...Yankees.

Nomah back on the 15 day DL after getting hurt while swinging the bat in his first plate appearance.

Rollins extends the streak in his 1st AB

Free Weekend (I would assume) for MLB games on Cable.

Ryan Zimmerman is good

Francona opts to go with Papelbon, after a beautiful outing by Josh Beckett, and Papelbon succeeds in the most amazing half inning performance i've seen yet this season.

So is Foulke not the closer anymore?

horray!

---

the board's favorite player Torii Hunter had 6 RBI tonight against the Jays (including a Grand Slam) to help get the Twins on the winning column

Papelbon will be a hell of a closer as long as they let him, but with Wells already hurt and Beckett and Schilling ticking injury time bombs, he will end up in the rotation and Timlin will end up closing. Foulke is done, no doubt about it.

Which is probably about one year.

Papelbon will probably be in the rotation next year, if not sooner.

Wow, the Braves pen REALLY sucks.

It's horrendous, I have no idea how they can win the East again with that pen but if any team can find a way, it'll be them.
