I'm sure it was, but it's a bit of an overreaction when there are several other more logical explanations for a guy being pulled in the 3rd, like a minor injury or a managerial decision (as Maddon has pulled Upton for not hustling before) as opposed to a trade. Desmond Jennings hasn't exactly torn up the minor leagues this year either, and on top of that, he's been a bit banged up too.

There are 5 AL teams under .500 overall, 4 of them have losing interleague records & Seattle is only 8-7. TB & Min are the surprises in the under .500 interleague crowd.
