Very disheartening first five games. That was an incredibly predictable homer.

Kubel put up a .917 OPS against the Sox in 2009, Mauer put up an .828.

Get a grip. We've been able to contain Mauer and Morneau just fine, and we let Jason Kubel beat us. Don't get too fussy, I know Kubel is a player. Just not the player I wanted to see beat us.

On the bright side, despite the homer Freddy has looked absolutely fantastic, too bad we still can't hit.
