If the shot of Stafford with a pound of turf hanging off his helmet isn't on the front page of the Sports section, whoever makes those decisions failed at the job.

Gotta get this on-side kick. Detroit still has a shot at this.

f***, there goes the shutout

Big game next week. After next week, the Bears play the Texans, Niners, and Vikings. Gotta get to 6 wins fast and hope they can pull out 5 in the last 9.

I'm surprised people complained about the O-Line today, besides the Suh sack they did a relatively good job and that is against a very good Detroit D-Line. Particularly impressed by Jamarcus Webb, he was solid all night and I remember him being decimated by Detroit last season.

Webb looked good but Carimi looked awful.

Charles Tillman's new nickname is Optimus Prime

PFT just called Tillman the best CB in the NFL.

I wonder if he will say that after Steve Smith next week?

?? He's been the best db on their team for the last several seasons and has crapped all over the Bears in their matchups. Its a HUGE loss.

This. I love Woodson for obvious reasons, despite being on the Packers.

BTW, Briggs is playing the best ball of his career right now. Possibly Tillman as well, and he's STILL not the best CB on the team.

I know most people here are Bears fans, but the calls of the Suh play being dirty is hilarious.

It wasn't against the rules to my knowledge, although I do think they are supposed to not intentionally try to drive the quarterback into the ground, but Suh has a reputation for making tackles like that and this is just another one to put on his list.

All I know is Schwartz is a loser and I am glad his team sucks balls again.

I doubt he broke the rules, but it clearly looks like he went with the tackling method most likely to injure rather than most likely to tackle the QB. Luckily for him, he's so immensely talented that he pretty much always gets you down no matter how he goes after you.

Also, Jay Cutler is easily the toughest son of a b**** we've had behind center since I've started watching the Bears. I do recall a delirious Chris Chandler trying to take snaps at one point, though :P

Suhs tackle wasnt dirty, the guy just makes angry tackles and that was one of them. He very obviously plays with mean intentions

I disagree. He had Cutler by the shirt sleeve and it one point it looked like he was holding his hand. Cutler had already broken off a couple big runs in scrambles out of a rush so he'd already demonstrated ability to avoid sacks during the game. Suh got his other hand around him but Cutler still had his throwing arm available and for a moment it looked like he was trying to throw. Suh needed to get him down as fast as possible. And he did. Suh is a big man and has speed someone his size should not have. Everything he does looks violent. And his past has nothing to do with the play in question.

It wasn't a dirty play, but he is a dirty player.

Bruised ribs are a b****, Jay's going to be hurting today. When I bruised my ribs (and broke one) playing flag football ( ) two years ago, I didn't even really feel it until the next day. Took about a month to get back to normal.

I don't think Suh's hit was dirty. It was vicious, but not dirty. I'll put it this way: if Peppers did that to Aaron Rodgers, I would have thought it was an awesome play. And I think most of you would too.

Charles Tillman is so amazing.

I couldn't believe they were leaving Tillman all alone in the end zone with CJ. And he held strong, it was an unbelievable performance.

When Megatron dropped that huge gain on the first drive, I thought it would lead to one of two things, a huge game or shut out. I am glad it led to the second.

that timing on the punch to knock the ball out of Megatron's hands was perfect.

On Suh's hit, I agree with the posts after mine. I have no problem saying that there are no problems with the tackle in a vacuum. In context of Suh's past, it seems like just another emotional, intent-to-harm play.

I don't have much of a doubt that Suh did try to hurt Cutler. He ripped Cutler's helmet off last year. He also elbowed him in the head two years ago in Detroit.

Suh's not stupid. He seems like a pretty intelligible person when you hear him talk. Which is probably why he didn't go after Cutler when he had a shot at him early in the second half. That probably would have resulted in a fine or suspension.

But IMO, one of the worst parts of that sack was after the play, when Suh went over to check out Cutler on the ground. Suh didn't give two s***s about Cutler's well-being. He was trying to act like he didn't try to hurt Cutler on that play.
