Adams is a nice pick to me.

Absolutely fantastic draft.

Any signability issues here?

No Reetz?

They just got the 23 talent on BA's board at 44. Awesome.

Adams #23 on Baseball America, #27 on MLB.com, #34 on scout.com

Adams is a stud

I'm not sure that would be such a stretch though?? Unless he knew Rodon wasn't going to Houston or Miami.

He was #1 on their board. They are over the moon. I expect a deal to get done quickly.

Sign both please :)

That's what I like to hear Rock!! Adams is great pick too. Loving this draft so far.

That is a great pick by the Sox with Spencer Adams, who should have been a first round pick in my opinion. He projects to be a front of the rotation guy and he can be something special with his plus stuff.

Great draft so far. Wow, unbelievably excited.

Couldn't be happier with the Sox draft tonight!

Wtf cubs?

An elite athlete, Adams is a three-sport star in high school. The same athleticism that allows him to throw down dunks on the basketball court has helped him develop into a coveted right-hander. Adams' fastball sits in the low 90s and tops out at 95 mph with excellent life. His sharp slider is his best secondary offering and has the potential to be a swing-and-miss offering. His changeup and curveball give him two more pitches that have the chance to be average or better. Adams, a Georgia recruit, has a loose, easy delivery and repeats it well. His long, lean build leads scouts to believe he could add more velocity as he gets stronger and focuses solely on baseball.

To be expected right? Like Sale.

Couldn't be happier with how today has turned out. Much love for Rick Hahn right now. Just got to get them both signed.

Where does Adams project to be in our top prospects?

Ya, this is about as good of a first day as one could possibly imagine.

These first two picks are money. I love it so far.

Man I'm excited. Picked a good night to have a few drinks.
