Oh yeah, for sure.

Also, what was the point of his relationship with the cap girl? What did that add to the movie other than some small conversations to fill out the day?

To add some additional personal life drama for Costner's character I guess. It was just an absolutely horrible movie all around.

Eh, star wars wiki says it has been broken. Im not really gonna argue anymore, if Snoke ends up being Jar Jar Binks, i dont think that is a masterful writing stroke by Lucas as much as it is an insult by JJ Abrams. Leave that crap behind

It may have been broken in the books. But since Disney took over, they are no longer considered canon.

There's also a theory out there that Luke actually DID turn to the dark side in the original trilogy.

Caught up on some movies this weekend:

John Wick. Highly enjoyable. I heard about a drinking game where you drink every time he shoots someone in the head.....I think you'd die if you played all the way through.

Draft Day. Too boring for me. And also incredibly stupid. No franchise, not even the Browns, wait until hours before the draft to do ANY homework on a potential pick.

LOL, watched draft day on halloween out of self-hate.

So funny how bad it is. it's hilarious how quite obviously the audience there is going to be pretty into football, so no idea why they had such a meathead view of how football operates.

Quite honestly, the first trade he received was pretty fair, he should have just taken that and called it a movie.

Hamill really badly wanted Luke to turn to the Dark Side

Saw The Equalizer first. I thought that The Equalizer was better than John Wick. I thought Wick was good, but not as good.

I'm stepping into a larger world

My time here will be infrequent for a bit

Brunch with PTA & The Nolan clan

Expect details by years end.

- Will McCrabb (@McCrabb_Will)

Will McCrabb works in hollywood during work as a cinematopher (camera unit) and in post production, on top of that he is in the know of a lot of stuff. If you love movies, I really sugges that you follow him on Twitter.

Basically, the first official details about the Nolan film will be announced before the Hollywood shutdown and PTA will announce his next feature at that time as well.

We also might get the title to the Nolan film because there is a Warner Brothers investors meeting coming this month. And maybe some news regarding Justice Leauge, someone reported that each film (Part 1 & Part 2) is going to have a budget of 250M and that production starts next month.

How did Sicario get 93% on RT? So boring and incoherent.

really, i love the way they paced the movie. it was done on several movies before like this. but the ending was great.

i don't know, maybe it is me but i think it is a great movie. planning on seeing it again on thurs before Jame Bond.

i can see some oscar nods coming for a couple in this movie.

I'm checking it out tonight at a sneak preview screening. I'm excited, but the hitfix.com review tempered my expectations.

I am too, I've been rewatching all the films leading up to Spectre. Love the books as well.

Favroite films are: Thunderball, Goldfinger, GoldenEye, ***On Her Majesty's Secret Service***, Casino Royale, and Skyfall.

Zero chance it doesn't make that.

do you really think so???

i really like to see the numbers to see how they come up with 650 mill but i bet it will be a way more profit numbers.

last of Daniel Craig as James bond, the continuation of the story line, the only thing i can't wait to see if the story was way better than skyfall.

re skyfall, cmon, Dench and M having a maternal instinct???

Javier Bardem having a mother or motherless issues???

Ralph Fiennes, i don't know, that lack of that something that one would imagine someone in his position to have... like imagine the director of the CIA having a Father O Flattery dean of boytown personality.

but all this did work. weird but it did.

In a year of great movies, that is easily the best film of the year.

That's officially nuts.

First of all, Emily Blunt is a bit miscast in that role...she's too naive, weak, timid and it doesn't come close to matching her recent action characters. She is basically dominated by all three male characters that she interacts with in the movie.

Second, while del Toro was GREAT in his role (which was mostly being menacing and mysterious), some of the plot machinations in the final 1/3rd of the movie weren't exactly the most logical. They moved the story from point A to point B, but not in a coherent way.

Some like it better than No Country for Old Men (another Brolin role), but movies like John Wick, The Equalizer and especially Man on Fire with similar themes are much more entertaining. CRASH was much better as well.

The first scene in the house and then the tense border standoff in the traffic jam...those were the best scenes by far. You don't need to have dramatic, Fast & the Furious style car chases, explosions and CGI to create an atmosphere of tension and foreboding. Maybe the best example of this is Steven Spielberg's very first move in the early 1970's, DUEL, with Dennis Weaver. You don't even SEE the driver of the truck that Weaver is having it out with the entire movie.

I would say 95 out of 100 filmgoers would see a movie like Gravity or The Martian and prefer those latter two.

From a filmmaker's perspective, I can APPRECIATE it, but at the same time not thoroughly enjoy it...

re duel.... that was a great movie but b/c of that idea of the driver. never ever seeing the driver... very unique.

now the other movie, for me, it was great b/c it was again very different and that choppiness more or lets see about doing this or that while telling a story.

just like Thirteen. but i can say different people have different pov on things.

but as i said your opinions are what i like about the film.

Neither of the first two Craig Bonds did that number. Though the last one did nearly double it.

here is the link and the reason why that number of 650 mill is needed and the reason.

http://variety.com/2015/film/box-office/sp...ice-1201633311/

i still don't quite understand the why in this story. i see a value of 340 mil as the suppose break even number. but oh well.

All the Craig Bonds have done at least $750 worldwide and Skyfall was a smash. They aren't worried about Spectre making money.

Never mind, I'm an idiot. I was adding worldwide together with US. Skyfall is the only one above $600. Still think Spectre will be all right.

I agree with this. After the scene at the border, I was into it but than it just dragged.

The whole tunnel sequence looked like a video game and not a good one.

I've never been a huge Benicio guy. He seems to be the same in everything I see. His whole thing was predictable.

It looked good. That was about it.
