Sure, it's obvious they pulled him to be careful. But a guy with 113 pitches and a perfect game going into the 9th would never be pulled and I'm surprised this wasn't treated the same way. 20 K's is rarer than a perfecto, after all.

As bad as the Indians and Kluber have been this year, I don't blame them for not chancing the health of their ace right now. Their only chance to get back into things is if he is healthy.

The A's are 13-23 with a +1 run diff.

That's weird.

Their first three wins were shutouts...30-0, and first six wins at 47-1.

I don't know how the Rockies get value for Tulo. The injury history will have teams looking for a discount, but he's locked up through 2020 on a reasonable deal.

Addison Reed came in for the three run save, gave up a couple singles, a walk and the grand slam.

Chip Hale has seen enough...he's out of the closer role.

Yep was just about to post this. Addison is a mediocre at best closer and he's better suited to a middle relief role. Even when he racked up some saves in Chicago it was always a tight rope act. His luck was bound to run out.

Ya obviously Davidson has been a bust but the idea to trade Reed for an organizational weakness was still the right one imo.

I've never seen the ball explode off the bat like it does with him.

Rasmus much more comfortable in Houston...

Aw, it is so nice that he can underachieve in relative obscurity while playing for the Astros. I'm sure his dad is happy that nobody cares he is hitting .230

I'm too young unfortunately. Saw him a few times when I was really little but can't remember. Wish I had been able to

Greg Luzinski several times, in the old part, hit the roof face plate and the other when he park the ball on the roof of the old part.

my point was and still is, while the trade reasoning is one thing. the rtn wasn't nearly enuf at the time of the trade and the value of Reed.

He has still been a more valuable player than Melky for less money.

Shelby Miller throwing a pretty good game with AJ as his catcher going into the 9th inning.

Thank you

And with 2 outs in the 9th they get a hit.

Damn. Idiot fan behind home plate too.

He only had 4 strikeouts, one of those balls were bound to get through the defense, sucks that it came on the last one. Miller's been great this year.
