LOL we are playing the Tigers again? We ain't such a good team vs. Det, Cleveland and KC. Look for more misery. We don't beat Detroit. that is for sure.

Shields will pitch well and the White Sox will lose 4-1

just a hunch - Shields gives up 3 bombs tonight.

Sox lose 7-1. Manage 4 measly hits.

Rinse. Repeat.

Going to the game tonight, hoping for a breakout game tonight with Shields on the mound, although signs don't point to any of that. Here's to hoping!!

I'm officially back in the mindset of even if we are up 5-2 in 6th in this game tonight, we'll lose..... So it's good to be back to feeling like a Sox fan again.

I'm going tomorrow to the game. Took one of those surveys, $10 outfield seats, just going to sit wherever I want. That's about the only positive from this mess. We can enjoy our empty stadium, grilled onions, and whichever superstar is in town to play us. Miggy should be fun to watch go 6-11 in this series!

No other lineup has been effective. Why not?

Anderson is leading off, with Eaton batting second.

Full lineup:

1. Tim Anderson ® SS

2. Adam Eaton (L) CF

3. Melky Cabrera (S) LF

4. Jose Abreu ® 1B

5. Todd Frazier ® 3B

6. Brett Lawrie ® 2B

7. Avisail Garcia ® RF

8. Dioner Navarro (S) C

9. Jason Coats ® DH

At least he won't hit into a DP his first AB.

Love the move Robin.

IIRC didnt we do the same thing with Beckham? Struggling lineup in desperation mode = insert the next best thing to the lead off spot because he will get us going.

I could be wrong but I could have sworn we did.

I don't remember hitting him leadoff, but they did use him in the two hole on a few different occasions to try to get him going.

The Ventura/Coop/KW era cannot come to end soon enough.

I just fail to understand why Avi keeps playing the field instead of Coats. Wtf? Besides that at least something different is being tried with the lineup.

I have tickets for Wednesdays game. Looking like rain.

This just conjured up a thought to myself.

I need to go to a game, for some reason I feel less enraged when I am at the games as opposed to watching it on TV. I dont really know why thats the case, maybe its the food that makes me happy but whatever it may be I am due for a game.

Love the lineup, maybe having people bat where they should may actually work for once.

Yeah that really doesn't make sense unless they are trying to up the trade value of Garcia somehow

The other idea could very well be the old Frank Thomas idea that he hits better when he plays the field, and they are trying to get Garcia's bat going again.

White Sox lineup vs. Tigers

Anderson SS

Eaton CF

Cabrera LF

Abreu 1B

Frazier 3B

Lawrie 2B

Garcia RF
