I agree but at the current moment I feel like Bourgeios' speed/base stealing would be helpful (completely ignoring him hitting over .400 in Charlotte)

Why not Leury then?

Why not Leury then?

Their speed is so similar, so I'd rather have Bourgeios because he can hit MLB pitching, unlike Garcia

Maybe, Leury is having a pretty good year though. I wouldn't mind giving him a nother shot. He's still only 25.

Wouldn't have minded seeing Saladino back in lineup after 2 hit and home run night.

Coats has more upside than Bourgeois will ever have.

Bourgeois has actual mlb experience. Coats is still searching for his first hit

Seems like we seen this before. Has one good game and everyone wants hit to keep playing then we see him what he truly is as a utility player and not everyday

R Ventura cut short media session when second guessed about handling Miguel Gonzales and ifAvi Garcia takes fly balls .same guy asked both

I've heard this before, too. No good. Nothing but a utility player. Wasn't drafted in the first two rounds and didn't rake in the minors, so he stinks (lucky for the SF Giants, they don't share that philosophy or they would have dumped 1/2 their infield 2 years ago). Meanwhile Trayce "fourth outfielder" Thompson rakes and Semien has 12 homers while Hahn pines away for more "veteran help".

The reality is that Saladino has steadily improved over the last 2 seasons. Why not let him play?

As for Frazier, he hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 23!!!

Terrible major league experience.

For that reason, I expect him up next.

Who was it? I wonder how sarcastic that last question/comment was, how it came across?

At least Ventura last night showed a willingness to change back to Shuck, which FINALLY happened again today. He pretty much had no choice, as there were no credible arguments left for leaving him out there in the field when it was causing so many problems for the pitchers, who are already struggling as is without giving additional opportunities to the opposition.

Last 22 games Sox starters have a 5.29 ERA

Should be around a 4.5ish ERA if not for so many defensive miscues in the last 33 games that were not officially recorded as errors (Melky and Garcia last night)...

he knows the end is near. dead man walking.

I wonder how the conversation went when Sale told Coop he was going back to his old style of pitching.

Great inning by the CONDOR to start the game off.

Finally didn't let up a run in the 1st. Nice

Lead off hit for Anderson

Tim Anderson is so fun to watch.

It's really too bad Eaton didn't get his bunt down so we now have to settle with 2 on nobody out.

Lol, Eaton took off his helmet and started going towards 1st

Tigers are as bad as us at baseball decisions. No way should Mike Pelfrey be an MLB starter.

Just turned game on. See the spark has done it again

Why would Melky hit a sacrifice fly when he could have just bunted? Terrible managing.
