Who would ever have thought that if you put out an entertaining team that are winning that it would cause good attendances!

Sox now have a Big Three. Mura, Vargas and Colson.

Another nice crowd, Sox have now drawn 1,289,646 for the season with an average of 23,882 per game, if they can stay in the race until the end they should get to the 2 million mark.

Naive? You just called a team in its competitive window “rebuilding” and literally want to do nothing at the deadline in order to protect the future. Reminder to everyone, but Murakami is only guaranteed to be here one more year and Vargas three. Outside of Roch & Bonemer, anyone should be on the table if it can help you can win across multiple seasons. And honestly, after the top 10 to 15, anyone should be on the table who can help you win this season.

Antonacci homer hung up there forever. What a crazy EV/launch angle.

Munemania: He has power
What a shame Mune lost 6 weeks with that injury, no telling what kind of records he might have set for any kind of a rookie.

I’m sure he would…the Sox aren’t the joke they recently were and he has a relationship with Bannister.

That video reminds me of myself at my second Sox game and first night game ever, it was against the Yankees in the summer of 1956 that my favorite uncle took me too, I was 10 years old and cried the whole game as Mantle, Berra and the rest of that gang beat us 10-1.

Chase Meidroth is a baseball player, almost old school.

If Gonzalez was still around, you could make the Montgomery trade for pitching, and survived 2026 with Gonzalez and his bat until Roch and Bonemer arrive

The Non-Ron GameThread: White Sox vs Yankees 6:40 CDT Martin vs Schlittler
It’s all about saving the pitcher’s arms in this new age of baseball, I’m against the rule changing also. The only way to go if they want to save the pitchers arms and eliminate different rules in extra innings is the way of the old NHL and have 9 innings games end in ties and have a point system of 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. The most popular game in the World has no problem with a comparable system except for OT in the World Cup.

It was 4-0 before I sat in my lazy boy. Kudos to Martin for stopping the bleeding, staying in there for 6 and giving the Sox a chance. What a comeback !!!

Do you think the Sox should really be buying?
The team that shouldn't acquire SkubalWhite SoxYou never want to advocate passivity, but the White Sox should not mortgage their future for two months of Skubal. Nor will they. Because while this season has been a wonderful surprise for the Sox, their window probably doesn't open in earnest until 2027. That's true even if they sneak into October this year. Chicago should and will be aggressive to add pitching before the deadline, but that likely comes in the form of a controllable arm such as the Mariners' Hancock, Angels' Reid Detmers, Yankees' Will Warren or Twins' Joe Ryan.

Gausman agreed to waive his block on trades to Sox?

What is your trade deadline prediction?
I hadn’t spent much time in this thread until I was ready to contribute - it’s pretty shocking how many of us are expecting Ray and Stephenson.
