Atlanta and Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is probably the coolest park but I put it number two because the team always sucks. It seemed like some of the people bought a ticket just to hang out in the outfield and gaze at the river rather than the game haha. Atlanta has an awesome parking setup and just great atmosphere. Best hot dog I've had at the ballpark too. Might be a little bias because Atlanta murdered the cubs when I went and Madrigal struck out a few times so it was extra fun haha

I was shocked that Ken Griffey Jr. is still the only guy to hit a homer off the B&O wall in right. And that was during the homerun derby. I couldn't believe that when I was there because that wall looks so close but I just looked it up and it's 440 feet so yeah, quite the illusion haha

I was at Camden in 1993, during the All-Star Break....didn't go to any of the game stuff but walked down Eutaw and passed Frank Robinson. I'm old.

My guess is Getz will trade for bullpen arms and keep running the young guys out there. Assuming we make the playoffs, it's typically a bullpen battle.

Carlson, Gonzales and if anyone is thinking they can fix Hagen would be the 3 that SHOULD be offered up for anything to help this year. Bonemer or Fauske only in discussion if it's for a pitcher with 3 years+ control. I do think the draft will help "refill the cupboard" and knowing whether it's Roch or Emerson helps you on the expendable mapping. This team needs a pitcher or two NOW and in 2 years.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026

Visited the in-laws. Flew into BWI and took the train right to Eutaw Street. O's v. Rays in April. Great game, got drunk. We all walked to the Inner Harbor. Beautiful stadium, great people.- 06/29/2026 - Sox @ Baltimore, 5:35 pm CDT - Burke v. Baz
I musta got asked for a loosie 20 times walking around inner harbor.- 06/29/2026 - Sox @ Baltimore, 5:35 pm CDT - Burke v. Baz
Yea Camden is a top one for me as well. Baltimore isn't bad as long as you stick pretty close to Inner Harbor/Federal Hill/Fells Point. I probably woulda made the trip up if it was a weekend series.- 06/29/2026 - Sox @ Baltimore, 5:35 pm CDT - Burke v. Baz
What’s number 1 and 2 on your list?- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Exactly my thoughts.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I'd have to be privy to Ishbia's instructions to have a better opinion but if they are going to have to add payroll, either through a new CBA or a new energy from ownership, then there's a 3rd starter and two good bullpen pieces right there, or two good starters even. If we have 60 million to play with in the offseason I'd rather spend that than deplete the lower minors of position players. Quantity has a quality of its own imo and we have some decent quantity.- White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
this sure makes Emerson the most logical choice IMO. Allows Sox to get the best years of Colson at short and then decide if he moves to 3rd when Grady would be ready. One of Vargas/Colson/Mune potentially wouldn't be with the team in 2-3 years in this scenario (unless Mune becomes a full Time DH and either Vargas/Colson move to first. If they select Roch...I have no idea what they do with the current roster, as I would expect him up next year.- 06/29/2026 - Sox @ Baltimore, 5:35 pm CDT - Burke v. Baz
Been to 16 of the ballparks so far and I have Camden ranked #3 mostly because of the vibes. Also, it was hot as f*** when I went and they had free water everywhere and I even saw some ushers bringing free water to people in the stands. Our usher was giving out free baseball cards. Cool place- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Idk, everyone is talking about windows... but who knows how long those are open for. This team has so little pitching I'm seeing a Orioles type situation where they need to figure out which position players are expendable and maximize them.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Lorenzen and Houser wouldnt make any sense to me. Those guys stink.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
We'd be fools to give up anything for rentals. I guess after the draft if you think you've got some depth in the lower minors at certain spots it might make sense to target some guys with cheap control but even than what you said. Sox gotta make sure they aren't in a situation like last rebuild where you go from a top 5 system to a bottom 5 system basically over night with graduations into MLB.- 06/29/2026 - Sox @ Baltimore, 5:35 pm CDT - Burke v. I was at Camden back in like 2011 when I was still pretty young and had a lot more hair up front. Was an absolute blast. That was Viciedo's debut at 3B. 22s of PBR were $4 bucks from the outfield stand and Camden def lived up to the hype, a great "open air" stadium is how I'd describe it, it feels like an organic part of the neighborhood rather than how Rate feels sorta just plopped down with some parking lots.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
And looking at some of these fledgling "dynasties" (Baltimore, Detroit, Minnesota, Boston) and how quickly the wheels can fall off and the window slam shut, Getz should be planning on that happening to us. Vargas, C & B Monty, Meidroth, Ant-man, Peters, Teel, Schultz, and Martin, everybody looks great, but some of these guys are going to prove to be smoke and mirrors. Some are going to sustain that career-altering injury. Offensively, everybody noteworthy graduated. Now, all you have at the upper levels is Quero, Bonemer, then it starts to thin out with Shelton and DiPino. All of the pitching that was close ran into injuries or setbacks, and we're talking about trading the only promising arm in AA (Gabe Davis). As somebody higher up in this thread said, they're a year early. Ride it out, supplement with fixer-uppers, let the next wave percolate to the upper levels.- White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026

Not there for me in Futures. Always errors out when I search "MLB Draft" or any of the top picks names. RIP.- 2026 MILB Catch-All
Have there been any updates on William Bergolla recently? He is still on the "7 day disabled list", after over a month and a half. I would think it has to be more than a "shin contusion".- 2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/V.Lackey closing fast
That's the first thing I did haha. It's there. It's under Futures. He's +400 now though.- This Day In Sox History 6/29...
A rarity for today, just one factoid: June 29, 1995 – With a 22-hit barrage, the White Sox ran their winning streak to seven games in a 17-13 slugfest at County Stadium over the Brewers. Robin Ventura led the way, going 5 for 6 by starting with four singles, then adding a solo shot in the top of the ninth for Chicago’s 17th run. The third baseman scored four times and drove in three. Things got heated in the middle of the game; remember, the Phil Garner Brewers and Terry Bevington White Sox detested one another. After Ray Durham hit a three-run homer in the top of the sixth to put the White Sox up, 13-6, Bill Wegman drilled Ron Karkovice in the ribs with a 3-0 pitch. Wegman was ejected immediately, and Garner got the boot for whining about it, as the benches emptied. But it only got weirder from there. In the bottom of the ninth, up 17-10, Bevington inserted absolutely wild (two walks per inning) Rob Dibble into the game in garbage time. Dibble whistled his first pitch right under pinch-hitter Pat Listach’s chin, igniting an all-out brawl and the ejections of both Dibble and Listach. - 06/29/2026 - Sox @ Baltimore, 5:35 pm CDT - Burke v.
