If you do the first thing, you don't really need to do the second. Especially if you sign 2.

Trade “what” for young pitching? Strikeout King Colson?

This is the equal of Put up money for retirement Win the lottery In other words, you aren't trading for "young pitching" without giving up a significant amount in return, especially if that young pitching is also good young pitching

Sign 1 or 2 starters. Trade for young pitching. Don't be on the RedSox side of a Crochet trade. No one-year wonders.

If you've never had Cafe Su DA (Vietnamese Iced Coffee) you got to try it. It is better...stronger too.

Better than a 2-3X recycled veteran. "According to club sources, communication breakdowns around Wilson’s tenure — between Wilson and the clubhouse; between Wilson and the front office; between Wilson and the media — loomed large around the Mariners’ disastrous finish this season." otoh KW said that Robin Ventura had all the leadership qualities of an admiral or general and look how all that ended up

If it’s anything like Thai iced coffee, I’m sure I’d love it.

Careful with that word around here

Catchers after age 30 are almost always diminishing returns...with a few notable historical exceptions. Then there are the competitive balance picks as well.

Milwaukee just uses their assets incredibly well. They will get an extra pick for Bauers and use the comp picks well. Then they develop players fantastically. They easily could have gotten Skubal this year, but no need. The Brewers philosophy maybe through the Yelich deal is that the aging baseball player is not the asset you want, The Dodgers and Yankees can outspend to cover for those assets but as you see with the cubs and Yankees you need to develop talent as well. The Wild Bill contract is one that will be interesting to follow with Milwaukee.

Interesting thing about the Milwaukee stadium is that the general area is not a district per se but there is a sprawl and accessibility is such that the congestion is purely stadium traffic so you can entertain one's self nearby and get to the stadium easily. Tailgating is also huge there. Atlanta/Georgia could have worse traffic than LA, it is a nightmare so they need the district Milwaukee does not. LA has the late arriving crowd. The cubs are similar in that regard. Rate should have used mixed income housing and entertainment on parts of their land but that ship has sailed.

Danny just signed Davidson to an extension. Unfortunately we are stuck with him and hope he and the front office can figure this out. What Danny should do is bite the money and clean house. From Jaime Faulkner to Kyle Davidson to Jeff Blashill. You are likely a bottom 3 team again this year. If you win #1, you get Landon Dupont (I know, I know another young prospect but that kid is gonna be very good). You still got Bedard, Frondell, Levshunov, Knight and Kansterov. I am hiring a President of hockey ops who actually has a hockey background and knows what their doing (anybody but Peter Chiarelli. He's brutal) and that person can hire their own GM (who will also likely have a hockey background) and then build around that core. The rest of the young guys and vets on the roster are expandable.

https://nypost.com/2026/11/05/sports/anthony-santander-under-fire-for-controversial-abdul-el-sayed-posts/ might want to worry about his own poor performance first? https://nypost.com/2026/11/06/sports/blue-jays-blast-anthony-santander-after-islamophobic-comments/ “Baseball is for everyone,” the team’s statement read, according to The Athletic, “and the Blue Jays have created an inclusive experience where all fans feel welcome at our ballpark. Individual comments do not represent our organization’s values and beliefs.”

I wonder what the modern NHL record is for the worst record or fewest points in a season? Because the Blackhawks may be on their way to matching it or exceeding it. Just incredibly bad, just awful. The TNT analysts ripped them up and down last night between periods of the Florida game. May as well keep losing/taking now to get that very, very high draft pick (not that they'll know what to do with it based on the production of the other high picks they've had save for Bedard.)

Correct, and when is enough finally enough? They’re going to fall to 4-12-1 on the season, and what has been shown this team is making any progress? What are you waiting to see? Don’t make a move just to make it, but I don’t know how you don’t look at things and say “Something is seriously wrong”

Definitely affordable and much safer than Laos and Cambodia, unless you're around those tourists allowed to shoot off M16s and AKs. Hue Da Nang Nha Trang all worth it. Don't try to fit into those underground tunnels lol. HCMC can get overwhelming with all the e bikes and scooters 12-13 deep across major roads. Some pretty interesting Vietnam Era prisons museums and historic sites. Food is great and cheap...unique coffee a favorite.

Had it wrong 8/9 Not bad with Cubs and Cardinals in the same division.

times change but I get what you're saying.

Haha, you beat me to it. Hopefully, that means he’s good at what he does. But if he fails, how soon until his nickname is Roffle?

He looks like a total nerd. All in.

Does he have a little brother or cousin I can interest you in?

You'll get mediocrity or more bargain bin retreads and like it!!! 😄 He's a very good player but the Sox need pitching, pitching and more pitching more than another infielder.

As Charles Comiskey would have said 8 of 11 /= 14 of 14
