  1. Past hour
  2. Giants: May we interest you in a lightly used Lenyn Sosa?
  3. His WAR in order since 2022: 4.2, 5.5, 3.7, 6.2. I wouldn’t worry about it.
  4. Don't think this deserves its own thread but wanted to post somewhere Maybe the change will end our streak of sucking at Kauffman
  5. I would have a hard time giving Hoerner a qualifying offer of $22+ million dollars for 2027. I’m sure some team would give him a long-term deal but I would be sweating it.
  6. They could, at the very least, offer a QO at the end of the 2026 season if they hold onto him so there is still value in keeping him. Guy is still a good player even if he doesn’t replicate 6.2 WAR season.
  7. Latest Manfred comments on upcoming labor negotiations: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6964828/2026/01/13/mlb-union-league-salary-cap/?campaign=16455970&source=athletic_targeted_email&userId=602876
  8. I’d probably jump all over this if I was the Cubs but they are trying to win now, so they probably won’t move Hoerner. But he’s a FA after 2026 and I would damn sure take advantage of Hoerner’s 6.2 bWAR from last season that I would be shocked if he ever matches again. Then they could just start SoxTalk’s favorite player at 2B.
  9. Today
  10. I used to think that if you're down by 2 scores with less than 5 minutes the game is pretty much over (at least for the Bears). But we've come back from that kind of deficit 3 times this year.
  11. Honestly? The Bregman deal is going to age horribly. They should have just manned up for Tucker after trading valuable assets for him.
  12. White Sox signee RHP Franchel Crisostomo makes the list here
  13. What a shame if his final NFL pass is a pick 6 to seal a playoff loss.
  14. He missed almost 50 games last year. It’s still an overpay, but if you’re a contending team and your main focus is to not overpay for a good player, well, you’re not gonna be signing any good players.
  15. Hard to imagine a scenario in which anyone other than the Steelers rearranges the team for him, and it doesn’t seem like the Steelers and Rodgers are gonna continue this relationship. I would imagine he is done
  16. It makes me wonder if he will retire now…
  17. Every pic of Rodgers getting sacked this year looked like this, lol.
  18. As far as the Cub ... Bregman's stats from last year (18 homers?? That's all?) make me think he's way overpaid by the Cub.
  19. Good line. Funny how during the dregs years the Sox always go hunting for bodies in the bullpen this time of year.
  20. Official. Rams @ Bears = Sunday at 6:30 ET on NBC
  21. Bye bye Rodgers. Please let the door hit you on the way out.
