It's worth paying the division tax IMO. If the Angels are just going to be myopic morons....- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I think I suggested that around a week ago. I also suggested that the Sox would get Kenley Jansen but he's as bad as Seranthony with 9 saves and 4 blown saves . He's got an OK WHIP 1.385 so that means he just gets hit around with a 4.38 ERA. Keep your eye on Jacob Latz of the Rangers. He's 30 years old and not Arb Eligible until next year. FA in 2031. He's also from Lemont so Sox may already have eyes on him. 16 saves 2 BS, 1.85 ERA , .067 WHIP. Rangers are a game below .500 and 3rd in the Wild Card race so they have to start losing for Latz to possibly be available. This is his 1st year as a closer. Our old buddy Yoendrys Gomez has 7 saves and 0 blown saves for MN. 1.263 WHIP, 3.55 ERA Still just 26 . Not Arb Eligible till 2029. Don't know about his options. Whitlock is a FA next year . 0 saves. 26.2 IP , 30 K , 1.050 WHIP. Really has come into his own the last 3 years as a setup guy.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Ryan McGuffey says that increase in attendance means its going straight to payroll so take it for what its worth . He said it on the ReKap podcast after the 22-1 win so unless you want to hear Guff rave about that win , forward the video to 6:20 way near the end to hear him say that. I've seen other sources that say revenue is way up but the question has always been that as a lameduck owner will JR actually spend it on payroll. Sorry I can't provide other links about revenvues being up. So if you have any tweets, podcasts, articles etc. , I think it's relevant to trade talks.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
"Did somebody say move to Nashville?" - Reinsdorf- And that's a walkoff WHITE SOX WINNER
I saw that too pretty much right after his teammate got nailed with Colson still on 3rd waiting to score on the Gonzo hit. That's not good for Colson's back, that quick little lean forward after getting poked. Luckily he isn't as old as me.- Will Venable's Managing
Common sense update: That still doesn’t mean he doesn’t make stupid managerial decisions. Perhaps their record is even better if he doesn’t.- White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Is this happening? Has it been reported?- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Whenever this happens, we all agree that we need to give full credit to Vasil’s magic wand for trolling purposes, right?- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Interesting wrinkle in the Sonny Gray sweepstakes. He has a full No Trade clause but has expressed an openness to potentially forgoe it. Location is key to him apparently and that could give certain clubs an advantage. He’s based in Nashville, which is a very short flight from Chicago. Outside of the Braves, we may have a geographic edge over most other competitors. And when you combine his NTC and his financial obligations, his market & cost might be much smaller than one thinks. He’s also ineligible for a qualifying offer, so the Red Sox will be motivated to move him. He may not be the sexiest option, but if the price is right, he could be the ideal bridge to a more impactful free agent SP next offseason. Getz needs to make this happen!- White Sox - Injury Tracker
Update: Teel & Hicks have moved off of the IL. Pereira has been added to the 7 day IL with a concussion. It’s now been 10 days since Everson first went on the IL, so you’d think he’d be back fairly soon, but haven’t seen any official updates on him just yet. Schultz should be back with the major league club next week. Murakami progressing well and getting closer to game action. The big question there is will he go on a rehab assignment or not and if so for how long. On the AAA front, Gonzalez now has two appearances in High A with 4 K’s, 0 BB’s, & 0 R’s over 2.1 innings. He should be in AAA soon and could be a bullpen option for the White Sox sometime after the All-Star break. Adams has now made three starts for AAA and has been excellent posting a 1.93 ERA over 14 IP with 16K’s, 3 BB’s, 10 H’s, and a sub 1 WHIP. He’s a legit threat for Fedde’s rotation spot although would require us opening up a 40 man spot. McDougal & Shane Smith are throwing & appear to be close to beginning rehab assignments IL - Rehab Assignment: Schultz, LHP - Patellar (5/24) 7/10/15 Day IL: Pereira, OF - Concussion (6/17) Murakami, 1B - Hamstring (5/29) Gilbert, LHP - Shoulder (6/9) AAA IL: H. Smith, LHP - Shoulder (6/16) S. Smith, RHP - Rotator Cuff (5/3) McDougal, RHP - Flexor (4/29) Gonzalez, RHP - Lat (4/30) Adams, RHP - Elbow (2025) 60 Day IL: Hays, OF - Calf (5/1) Bush, LHP - Shoulder (Apr/May) Thorpe, RHP - Appendix (Apr/May) Berroa, RHP - Elbow (Apr/May) Leasure, RHP - Forearm (5/27) Out for Season: Baldwin, UT - Elbow (4/1) Murray, IF - Shoulder (4/26) Vasil, RHP - TJS (Mar)- White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
If the Sox have Roch scheduled to throw out the first pitch against the A's Saturday afternoon, I will assume it's a done deal.- And that's a walkoff WHITE SOX WINNER
The celebration seemed a little more subdued. I think they are getting used to winning, even in walk off fashion.- And that's a walkoff WHITE SOX WINNER

Rumors out there that the Bulls are interested in John Collins. That'd be fun. I'm reading that Caleb definitely has the athleticism to guards 3s, and we've see Matas guard 2s, so a jumbo lineup that can jump out of the gym would be fascinating to watch..... PG- Josh Giddey 6'7" SG- Matas 6'8" SF- Caleb Wilson 6'10" PF- John Collins 6'9" C- Nic Claxton 6'11" ....probably not the route id go but id love to see it play out in a year you don't expect to win.- Will Venable's Managing
Yeah, no problem with the bunt call in that particular situation. - Sox go for sweep of KC: 1:10 CDT 6/28
