  1. Past hour

  2. The information is all well known and recorded for posterity.
  3. Could be the script for The Rookie 2 Started at Oregon State like Drew Rasmussen, Kwan, Madrigal Rutschman, Larnach, Conforto "In 2017, Booser was suspended 50 games after testing positive for cannabis.[8][9] After making three appearances for Fort Myers during the season, Booser retired on November 20, 2017.[2] Booser returned to the Seattle area to work as a carpenter.[2][10] Missing baseball, he began to give pitching lessons in 2020, and found that he could throw a fastball at 96 miles per hour (154 km/h).[2]"
  4. Today

  5. I am hoping that Caleb getting to sit and watch the first Case game helped him visualize the Ben Johnson offense.
  6. Falstaff replied to fathom's topic in Pale Hose Talk
After seeing Cam Booser pitch in high leverage yesterday. I thought if the Sox trade Colson to Milwaukee he will hit 45 homers with a .07% strike out rate, win a Gold Glove and be named the NL MVP.
  7. Right but I agree that things started to go the wrong way with that fumble and Walkers stupid head butting penalty, not so much the defense swapping out. Once those things happened it put the defense on their heels
  8. They deserve it.
  9. I think OP was referring to the defensive starters getting pulled early.
  10. Kyle Monangai HEAL please
  11. I like that so many undefeated teams took a loss on Saturday, it shakes things up.
  12. The refs were not in control of the game and there was 1 second left for one more play. ND did indeed get hosed, but they shot themselves in the foot. Their QB had a clunker of a game; he was off just a bit and missed 2 easy TD passes. Plus, ND has no excuse for their elite pass rusher getting ejected for targeting on BYU's opening drive. This goes under the radar but had a huge impact on the game. The BYU D lineman admitted to yelling HUT at the goal line at the end of the 1st half which is a penalty. The play was ruled a fumble and ND came away with no points. BYU D-lineman admits yelling 'Hut!' before CJ Carr's costly fumble
  13. Guardians really have no choice but to start G.Williams on three days' rest... Peralta already announced. That would leave Nick Martinez and Jax also in TB bullpen with one held back to start a possible G7 on Tuesday. Rough travel schedule to fly and then have two more consecutive games with the state of the CLE bullpen.
  14. Why do the Cowboys get so many nationally televised games? They suck
  15. I think he had a really good agent and his background (at the time at least) looked good on paper as a "new age" analytics background. Of course he didn't really push analytics, he just had a worthless MBA and a slick lawyer like effect to him. IIRC the rumors were that we kept him and promoted him when he had interest from other clubs, including the Red Sox. Probably all just hogwash planted by his agent in hindsight. The guy was clearly in way over his head. He was good at contracts, absolutely trash tier at everything else.
  16. ND got double hosed following missing playoffs a year ago. But 1 second left and a clear PI on the play. Was a heck of a game either way though and had Miami lost it may have been one of the craziest weekends I can remember in college football.
  17. Reality is Roschon had a nice run and they were moving it he just coughed it up. Jones had opened up a big hole along with Newman on the play where Roschon fumbled.
  18. Fantastic win - penalties have to get under control and Caleb took a few early sacks in first half where he has to get the ball out of his hands but overall that was such a clean game by Caleb and the D. They made it to worrisome in the end - the penalties and Roschons fumble were no bueno. Kyler played electric! Was great seeing the ball spread around so much and seeing Loveland early and often in this one.
  19. Larry Himes went from Sox GM to Cubs GM in the early 90s. Ron Schuler held "special assistant" jobs with several teams after he left the Sox.
  20. For the first time since 2002, Miami (FL) is ranked #1 in the polls. I dont expect us to stay there long, I'm not impressed with how we've played the last several weeks and we played poorly against a weak FSU team. I don't think we're going to win in South Bend. I wouldn't even be shocked of we lost in Chapel Hill in a couple weeks. This team is significantly weaker defensively than last season and also has been ravaged by injury in the defensive backfield.
  21. The last time the front office wanted to get out in front of a lockout, they rushed to sign Mike Clevinger.
  22. I understand that, but if they let the starters play one more drive, none of what actually transpired happens. Letting Atlanta finally breathe and get some momentum ended up making the starters play 2 more drives that actually required them to try.
  23. Pirates are getting rid of Skenes!!! Welcome to the South Side, son.
  24. He was doing it because of a short week. The Bears play on Thursday too. Do I agree with it? Not really, but I understand the logic.
  25. One factoid today: October 19, 1949 – Sox G.M. Frank Lane struck again. Lane dealt backup catcher and malcontent Joe Tipton to the Philadelphia A’s for a young, small second baseman named Jacob Nelson “Nellie” Fox. Tipton had gotten into a fistfight with Sox manager Jack Onslow during the 1949 season and wasn’t going to be kept. All Fox did was eventually get to the Hall of Fame, have his #2 retired by the team in 1976, make 12 All-Star teams, win the league’s M.V.P. award in 1959 and become one of the faces of the “Go-Go” Sox during the 1950's and early 1960's.
  26. Gotta think they'll have Peralta going tomorrow. Do the Guardians go with Williams?
