  1. Past hour
  2. That's insane. Kind of surprising. Not an all-star tho. It'll be amusing when Mune beats him out.
  3. From a Sox perspective, Freddy Peralta might be a perfect sleeper pickup. He's got an unusually high era for him at 4.66 but is under contract for just 1 year at $8m. Sox wouldn't have to hold or pay him in a possible shutdown in 2027. 4.66 isn't all that bad and could improve with a change of scenery and a better pitching coach & manager and Sox clubhouse. Not sure if the Mets want to do business with Getz anymore though. lol But, can Fedde hold up as a starter the rest of the year? He seems like a perfect long reliever. Love his style and attitude but his arm might not be good enough down the stretch.
  4. So everyone except the 20th rounder. Thats quick work.
  5. I don't think the Sox need to trade for a reliever (the pen has sharpened up nicely; Sandlin and/or others can handle any further needs), but if we were to trade, I like Huascar Brazoban from the Mets. He's 36, but doesn't have "high mileage" throwing barely 550 professional innings. Contrast that with teammate Luke Weaver who is 32 but has 1300 professional innings. Considering Weaver's in the midst of a career (albeit great) season, Brazoban would be much cheaper. Not that concerned with "control" for a middle reliever, but Brazoban is controlled through 2029 (unfortunate for him; old friend Tanner Banks had a similar fate).
  6. Jerry probably bites as it saves him on next year
  7. Feels like the number should be six assuming Volchko got a little bit above slot. We already know 11th rounder HS arm meets the critiera.
  8. Like how they brought in several undrafted pitchers too. Maybe one of them turns into something.
  9. That’s almost Blake Larson money.
  10. The biggest “no thanks” of all time.
  11. Giants radio producer caught on hot mic saying Posey sucks...😬
  12. Today
  13. That's the idea - get him on the IL and bring up Bonemer (or someone).
  14. Quick work, though the actual bonuses aren't listed beyond Roch
  15. Well that was easy. No Fennell as they communicated. He was a fallback option.
  16. Oh good. Another oft-injured RHH OF to add to the collection along with Austin Hays and Everson Pereira.
  17. Sox need a RH bat. Sox Receive: Luis Robert, Jr. Mets Receive: Andrew Benintendi I say: Bring Him Home
  18. Yup. Hope we get AJ in the booth
  19. I think I saw as well where Fox Sports is picking up the Cleveland/Sox game on August 8.
  20. I don't think he'll come cheap either but he's not exactly like getting Verlander like the Astro's did during their run. He may help or he'll continue to be meh. I probably should 've said reasonable instead of cheap. He's worth monitoring as a possible trade.

  22. Maybe, but I don't think he will be had for cheap. Angels were saying they didn't want to move him (or Soriano) last month when he looked like a great chip, so I doubt they would settle for a lower value now as Boston, Detroit, etc. getting back in the mix only makes it even more of a sellers' market.
  23. To me it's just a lack of understanding the culture you are dealing with. You come off as the loud crazy American when dealing with a soft spoken respectful culture and you need to listen even more carefully because there's also and interpreter involved. That's not ideal for a guy who never shuts up.
