  1. Past hour
  2. This is basically my lineup. You can rotate Beni, Mura, Teel in with Quero at DH. Kinda a sexy young lineup really. Baldwin has a chance to be a player imo. His fielding was horrific but park in RF and see what he can do to start the year imo. His EV numbers suggest with everyday playing time he could improve to an average regular bat assuming his defense isn't bottom 30th percentile in RF. Chase has something to prove, but so does almost everybody other than Beni, who is just playing out the string. A nice change in this stage of the rebuild.
  3. If the season started tomorrow, I would roll with this: 2B - Meidroth (R) C - Teel (L) SS - Montgomery (L) CF - Robert (R) 1B - Murakami (L) 3B - Vargas (R) LF - Benintendi (L) DH - Quero (S) RF - Baldwin (S)
  4. Making the playoffs for this team is an amazing achievement after starting 0-2. I think we all know anything beyond this is house money for this team as they are far exceeding expectations. But in the NFL, you need to take advantage of every opportunity regardless of what people thought of you prior to the season. Because things can unravel fast. I think we need to take a look at what happened with the Lions and Commanders recently. Washington and Detroit both made the NFC Championship game ahead of schedule but neither will be in the playoffs this year while both are in the middle of their competitive windows. It's not going to be the end of the world if this team gets bounced in the playoffs, but I think they really need to capitalize on their momentum this year and make a run. Because it's never a guarantee they'll be back in a similar spot next year.
  5. You have watched Jerry manage the team payroll before, right? That is not how he operates. As soon as they signed this guy, they were calling for season tickets. They will trade Robert to reduce payroll, the side effect will be a possibility of making the team better in the future. They had a chance to made a trade last offseason and retain some of his contract and jerry balked,
  6. It definitely felt like the refs didn't know wtf happened. The ruling on the field definitely should not have been a TD. If anything that just riled up that crowd up for disappointment.
  7. Oh you used Murakami- Sama which means God. So now the Sox have the Pope and a God !
  8. It was crazy that they didn’t rule forward progress was stopped on that play. That would have been an even crazier ending than the Seahawks / Bears games had there not been a penalty on Lions
  9. And he’s a West Coast guy with family connected to Hollywood. SFG if they miss on Imai or Padres.
  10. Today
  11. They did say Goff scored a touchdown but that was negated by the offensive pass interference ending the game.
  12. Well worth the price tag, excited to see him in the lineup. A LH hitter with his power potential is something Sox fans have wanted for years.
  13. Given JR took him to arbitration over 50 thousand dollars left a bad taste in Gio and his agent mouths, keep that in mind.
  14. Figured it would be nice to have to have an ongoing offseason thread to discuss potential lineups. Feel free to make a separate one for facing a righty/lefty. As more moves are made, we can update predictions, but for now, assume Robert is still on the team.
  15. Brad Biggs' the Tribune Bears beat writer offers his thoughts: "Seriously, as best I understand the situation, the Bears are eyeing the possibility of putting up a stadium in Hammond. Either that or before lawmakers return to Springfield in 2026, the team is attempting a leverage play as it seeks public funding for infrastructure around Arlington Heights that could approach $1 billion as well as tax breaks. “This is not about leverage,” Warren wrote in the letter. If you have to say it’s not about leverage, it’s only about leverage. The franchise’s stadium pursuit has become such a flip-flop operation, at this point it’s literally all over the map. Pick a town, any town."

  17. I’m guessing Cam Booser couldn’t have been substituted for Fajardo in this trade. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  18. No more obvious proof that the Red Sox were probably the other finalist for Murakami’s services. That’s a good sign at least.
  19. Took Ohtani early in his 1st spring training to make an adjustment. Eric Hinske suggested a toe tap instead of the leg kick he had to improve timing , gain more barrrel control, and contact out in front of the plate.
  20. Yeah, where was his early post saying that Murakami was signing with the Sox? Bartolo’s Bunghole is a waste of typed words.
  21. The Sox usually manage to waste three roster spots on replacement level 33 years olds out of 17 million per. This is better, obviously. I get doubting ownership and management but in isolation this is a great use of limited resources.
  22. They were saying the flip to Goff was the touchdown I think. Because yea he came nowhere near crossing the pylon. It was a truly brutal referee explanation to end a game 😂
