  2. Meh. 26 of 26 balls hit with that EV and launch angle averaged 420 feet this year. It is pretty wild.
  3. Instead of crying about a flyout, dude should be happy he is BFF’s with Venable and still has a paid job in the majors. Wrigley Field wind knocks down a lot of potential homers. It’s part of the game. Get a grip, Tommy.
  4. Unfortunately, he will probably be replaced by equally boring Connor. No one will remember either guy ten years from now.
  5. TB new ownership and new stadium on the way for 2029 suddenly filling up that dome now 40000+ for first time in many many years for a postseason game NYY obviously helps, too
  6. Schiff just feels fake. Like he's trying to sell you the rust proofing on a new car.
  7. So much easier for me to laugh about that since we won!
  8. Was offered tickets to Wednesday’s game…how about a sweep!
  9. Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers) — 30+ home runs (achieved multiple times, including 2021–2026) Hideki Matsui (New York Yankees) — 31 home runs in 2004 Munetaka Murakami (Chicago White Sox) — 35 home runs in 2006 (rookie season) Kazuma Okamoto (Toronto Blue Jays) — 30+ home runs in 2006 (rookie season) (Note: Seiya Suzuki also hit 30+ home runs in 2025, bringing the total number of Japanese-born players to reach 30 MLB home runs in a single season to five overall Economic Impact In Japan, Munemania has driven massive television ratings, sports merchandise sales, and sports tourism, with thousands of Japanese fans traveling to Chicago to see him play.
  10. Different strokes...I loved Benneti (and so did my kids)! Disappointed when he left...crushed by having to listen to his replacement!
  11. Assuming there is a season the Sox need two dependable starting pitchers. I can't see the continuing use of openers as a long term successful philosophy. It simply puts to much strain on a bullpen. And it doesn't work all the time. Get two guys to go with Burke and Martin and have one of the kids check in at #5.
  12. Sucks it’s in the afternoon but I’m going to the game Wednesday. That place is going to be rocking.
  13. Bored with Braves lol...late arriving weekend crowd. They aren't even using Yamamoto until G3 so he can go G2/6 in NLCS. Also a significant heat wave to consider. And playoff games every year since 2013.
  14. Today

  15. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2201621748/posts/10164241223616749/ Not so sure anyone would be happy there...Darling is a better analyst, though.
  16. I know how annoying I can get when drinking, even celebratory drinking. See y'all tomorrow
  17. We have an elite coaching staff:
  18. People are ripping him on reddit but I get it, maybe it had some bad spin but that ball was crushed. Cooler temps didn't help.
  19. I don't know if there's a limit on the number of post react options, but I wouldn't be mad at a 💯 react being added
  20. Love your outs to go countdown !
  21. Feels like Taylor is too much of a multi inning weapon now pretty much anywhere from the sixth inning on. Will see how his arm rebounds after these two lengthy appearances...hopefully they don't need him until WED, but would be awful tempting for Venable to use him again if they get another lead on Mon. If this opener strategy works at least through CLE to reach the ALCS, it's likely going to become their niche, and just not certain if it stands up over 162 games with Hagen and Taylor throwing as much as they are... Perhaps they follow the Padres' model and add the elite reliever and then work backwards from there to shorten the game. Let's say signing Morejon, for example. Wouldn't JR rather bring in 2-3 elite bullpen arms and pay them $30-35 million combined than one Skubal at $40+? Is this also a place where Ishbia might get involved to put them over the top? No idea!
  22. Just so unfazed heading into the biggest games of most of these guys' careers. Mune has been teaching the guys the Japanese idiom "Baka wa kaze o hikanai" which roughly translates to "idiots don't catch colds" The idea is that sufficiently naïve people are effectively immune to the stress and symptoms of minor illnesses, because they're simply too carefree to get bogged down worrying about it. Fitting.
