  2. I checked with Ron first.
  3. Two Tree beers should do the trick
  4. @caulfield12’s autocorrect is fucking twisted. 😳
  5. Red Sox come in with an 88 wrC+ against RHP. Lets keep that going.
  6. That's even worse than chairman of the board.
  7. IMO, Venable should almost never bench Antonacci or pinch hit for him. I'm tired of Venable automatically playing split advantages. There is more to consider, especially with a player like Sam-bone.
  8. I don't think there's an issue with protecting a rookie against tougher match ups for him in the middle of a division race. Eventually he needs to hit against lefties. Also, with the way Will uses his bench, its not like he wont be in the game at some point. Also, left in Fenway is tricky to play especially if you've never been there.
  9. Vargas OPS's .778 against righties. That's why he's out there. Ant-man OPS's .511 against lefties.
  10. He has only had 66 ABs against lefties so I just feel like you have to get him experience. Yes, he has hit .197 but do you think he is an everyday player? if you do then you have to start batting him vs lefties. Maybe not against the red sox but maybe against some other teams. I feel like he brings so much to the leadoff spot by working counts. He has been hit 6x in 77 plate appearances against leftiesI couldnt find his minor league splits on baseball reference. Maybe next year he will get more opportunities. I like getting your best hitters out there, Vargas is .224 vs righties and he is out there. Chase went up a decent amount against RHP from last year to this year because he got opportunities
  11. Josh Nelson must be da man. Howard Ankin is one of his sponsors. “Injury law made personal.”
  12. I got a feeling your whole family’s goin down.
  13. Today

  14. Adell is in the lineup, Lowe is sitting because it's a LH starter. JRam is out though, day to day with soreness in the wrist/hand he had surgery on. Maybe LRJ can do us a solid and get hot for the series.
  15. Mets decapitated against CLE at Progressive but at least no Lowe/Adell in the lineup yet. Monasterio and Durbin have been two of the key Boston leaders...ex Brewers both.
  16. No team stays as hot as the Red Sox do forever. I feel like it could very well be this series where they come back to earth.
  17. I agree with your first couple sentences. However, Hill is playing like a starting CF right now. Doyle hasn’t been that guy since 2024. Will Hill keep up his current pace? No, of course not. Also, there is obviously a difference in the quality of prospects that were involved in the trades you mentioned. So it’s not really weird when people say that.
  18. Two years ago...their respective values couldn't have been any more opposite. Unless it's today.
  19. Brazoban joins Hicks as a Sox pen arm with an elite barrel%
  20. .400 babip that's surely sustainable. also, dude had like a sub-.600 OPS at Doyle's age without the elite defense. Doyle has produced double as much WAR and the majority of Hill's career WAR has come in the last two months. good for him for having a hot streak, not good for you for being logically inconsistent.
  21. Top of the draft has been a minefield the last 5-6 years. I was looking, there's a ton of busts in the top 3, and 1,1 as well. Roch seems to have as high of a floor as possible but man if he's just an avg regular that's gonna suck.
  22. Vargas Colson ??? (surely compared to 23-24) Peters until recently Boston Smith Jacob Gonzalez Bonemer Antonacci There was suddenly this more prevailing idea that the system could magically fix/transform hitters (at least since the second half of 25)...but how true is that really? Peters Colson and Gonzalez (sss) are falling back. Acuna at best is a wash with last year. Are the Sox really going to take credit for Mune's adjustments to velocity? Meidroth is pretty similar to the player everyone expected on offense, in aggregate, although his defense has been a pleasant surprise. Teel ... well, who the hell knows what he is at this point? Otoh Quero was the only significant disappointment, based on prospect pedigree. Maybe B.Montgomery not quite hitting for as much power as was initially hoped for???
