  1. Past hour

  2. Hopefully Doyle can use that big boy body ( 6'3" 223 ) and start crushing a few bombs again. Just need a little luck of the Irish 🍀🍀 🍀, along with wizardry and Pope power.
  3. Boston - oddly enough - has better road splits. They’ve been playing to a sub .500 clip at home. Obviously they’ve been the hotest team in the universe but hopefully we play them better than when they were in Chicago kicking out ass. I want a sweep of our own here as another statement and as some redemption!
  4. I have the game thread GIF's queued for Good Doyle and Bad Doyle
  5. Don't think that's possible to make everyone right but it's a lovely thought.
  6. Yeah, it’s a fine buy low move, but is odd timing and potentially problematic for a playoff push. Our bench now has two incredibly weak RH hitters in Doyle & Acuna plus a question mark in Grichuk. Despite certain flaws, Pereira was very useful against LHP. We could find ourselves highly exposed against lefties down the stretch and into the playoffs now.
  7. In 2025 July that year he hit .327 and in August he hit 7 home runs and .319. I’d say he was figuring it out and putting the loss of his son past him. You’re including his stats from this year when he was playing through injury and are omitting what he did in AAA. It’s obvious that he has had his struggles and I’ve illustrated those specifically in previous posts. They are similar things Vargas dealt with ( raising his hands, lift and pull, better swing decisions )… There’s reasons for confidence because he showed capable of doing that in 2024. I think it’s completely legitimate that a personal tragedy and pressing last year explains initial struggles… and his injuries this year are behind him. He’s the exact profile of player that should benefit from Fuller and his gold glove defense from 23 to 25 was the best in baseball by some metrics. If you can’t see the reasons for optimism and understand why they took this risk and only want to focus on what he did wrong for a period of time, then you must have had a hard on for Mason Adams that’s blinding you or something. 😆 It’s not a sure thing slam dunk but there are many reasons that you should understand what they’re going for here.
  8. At some point an adult has to be in the room and make the call that while we understand you like throwing to Romo, he currently puts the offense at a deficit. And let’s be honest here, he has not been helping with those challenges
  9. Agreed, I'm surprised they couldn't get a lotto ticket for Grichuk or Hays yesterday.
  10. Red Sox fresh off a 3 game sweep of the Dodgers in Dodger's Stadium. Still red hot. Hoping for a statement series for the White Sox that shows we can do to the Red Sox what we did the the Rays. Sox were early victims of the 15 game win streak and got swept. Before their blistering 28-5 run that began on June 25, 2026, the Boston Red Sox had a record of 32-46. The last time the White Sox had a winning streak longer than 3 games was in mid-May , when they won 5 in a row. So while the Sox have yet to lose 4 in a row they also don't often win 4 in a row. They've been very consistently playing barely above .500 for a few months, hovering between 4-7 games above .500. Winning 2 of the 3 would get us to a high water mark of 8 above.
  11. You know what, f*** this, now it's a terrible trade if I have to hear this s%*# every night. lol.
  12. Owners want a cap to increase value of their franchises: Awful AnnouncingMedia rights won't be enough to bring MLB owners to negot...Losing media rights revenue will not be enough to bring MLB owners to the negotiating table during a lockout.
  13. I really like this Bart trade. Given he’s under control next year, I think you go to camp with a battle for the backup spot but consider Bart the favorite. Honestly, given Quero is only 23 years old, I’d be ok with him opening next year in AAA and trying to regain some form & value. I’m also open to trading Quero, but I think he’s a guy who could improve quite a bit with a focused offseason plan.
  14. As long as they don't get swept, I'll be satisfied. Then go beat Cleveland.
  15. I know we've talked about a lot of "toughest stretches of the season," but this truly feels like the toughest series of the season, coming into the home park of baseball's hottest team on the heels of two other brutal AL East series. Good test for Willie's boys.
  16. In other words, they couldn't dump him on anyone. He's such a talent, but all these injuries will take their toll. He can't be the player he could have been anymore, even if a miracle happens, and he starts to stay healthy.
  17. It is. There was a 40-man crunch before spring training, coinciding with the Hicks/Sandlin trade. Romo and Iriarte were cut to make room.
  18. They need to keep someone who can back up all three outfield spots unless they plan on it being Acuna...
  19. Always been a fan of Castillo's little leg kick/swing at the end of his motion. Dude used to be electric to watch. Hoping for the best.
  20. I hope Doyle mashes, and does so in a way that doesn't prove any Soxtalk posters wrong.
  21. Romo does have options. But he was previously DFA so could not I believe that Romero is wrong. The Sox DFA'd Romo this past winter because they wanted him off the 40 man. You cannot option in January. He cleared waivers, and was outrighted. He does have 2 options remaining. If/when he is DFA'd next, he will have the option to reject the outright and become a FA (which basically everyone that isn't on a guaranteed MLB contract does).
  22. idk how you set up your post season roster with Teel in the mix. do you go with 3 catchers just in case he gets hurt again?
  23. We all know teams are chomping at the bit to get Drew Romo
  24. Also this sight is very funny.
  25. The odds are quite low. I feel like Getz is a little high on his own supply after some of these surprising pickups/reclamation projects.
