MLBTR Offseason Outlook on White Sox
Chicago White Sox replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
@DFAthewave69420 - Where you at brother? Why tease and run like that? At least give up a couple of nuggets to keep us guessing! -
Weird the Vikings also did it for their GM today which is weird timing as well.

I need this trade ASAP -
I thought the same when I saw that earlier
-
Seems pretty late in the offseason for this, I wonder what the story is.
-
-
Would be incredibly dumb to move him IMO. On a bad team, he doesn't look like anything special but he's the type of player that will look way better when surrounded by better players.
-
I couldn't agree more, excellent article.
-
Yeah RF seems like the lock to be rotated through with guys throughout the year. Baldwin and Acuna should be given every opportunity to stick.

No one as good as Chase though. I’d be very hard pressed to move him right now. -
Yeah, it's not good obviously, but you have to see where these guys fit. Would really prefer a RF upgrade, though.

Baldwin - Acuna - Kelenic is the OF I would like to see work out to start the season.
-
Wish @DFAthewave69420 would come back and drop another nugget about it.

Didn’t see this posted anywhere:

That was a very good read and always interesting to get a better understanding of what baseball is looking at and what improvements are trying to be made. I suggest everyone give the article a read, especially for some of our more "veteran" members who are less analytics focused.

The White Sox called Brooks Baldwin up on July 1. From that time to the end of the season, he OPSed .793. He needs reps to become a better defensive OF. I don't believe it makes any sense to waste his PAs in AAA. I believe he's secured one OF spot. They have around 5-6 AAA/AAAA guys who can battle for playing time with whatever Mike Tauchman they bring in. Acuna in CF, Pereira in RF, maybe Kelenic makes the team with a strong spring showing.

The same stats? Bonemer by a mile. The Big Ten isn't even equal to complex ball and Bonemer will possibly get a shot at AA this year and that's a incredibly tough hitters environment. The majority of pitchers you see in a college season will never play professionally. It's why I'm more skeptical than some when it comes to grading a college player. He might be unreal and he can only dominate the situations he is given, but the difference in competition is so stark.
-
If Bonemer and Cholowski put up the same stats this season, who gets the edge at the plate? Big 10 pitching and all.
-
Very true. Eloy’s best years were during competitive baseball. There was a window to move him at the deadline in 2023 (had an 800+ OPS and a hot July). Ultimately a missed opportunity and the least excusable between him, TA and Abreu.
-
that would be ridiculous.

There was a pregame gag this season on Fox where Jefferson dressed weird and put a wig on like he was a photographer for a fake photo shoot for Kwesi, and was asking him all kinds of goofy questions and it took him an awful long time to recognize it was Justin. I felt like that was strange when I saw it, like how do you not recognize your star player? His face wasn’t covered and he wasn’t changing his voice lol

Catherine O’Hara, 71 this one hurts a lot
