  2. Back to back west coast trips again. At least its not 3 in a row like this year. Though, I guess I didn't mind since it was earlier in the year.
  3. something something if they actually play yada yada.... Outside of Detroit to open it looks pretty good temp wise. KC final 3 days of March shouldn't be bad, then we have back to back west coast road trips. The ASG is also at Wrigley next year. Nice that the 5 or 6 guys we send won't have to travel. From a selfish standpoint super stoked that the Baltimore, D.C., and Atlanta series are all on the weekend. Should be able to get to a good chunk of games.
  4. Count me in. MV got better last year, but I didn't think he had this much talent going forward. He's also a great team mate. The fans love him too. He is giving 110% everyday.
  5. Maybe. That third baseman from Tampa Bay might be the new Mike Schmidt. Vargas has been really great as well.
  6. Excited for this to get thrown out the window when the season starts on July 4th weekend.
  7. thanks, grabbed the table from reddit.
  8. Opening day keeps getting earlier and earlier - March 25th next year. All those March games for the Sox are in cold weather cities. And yes, we all know and have heard it umpteen times.....IF THERE IS A SEASON.
  9. Seen several posts like this today, feel like it’s odd that Fegan would mention Detmers specifically. Usually the Sox try to keep quiet about these things.
  10. We better get at least one regular plus a star in roch from this draft. It's being praised everywhere, but it's a fickle sport.
  11. Today
  12. Impressive all around. Cardozo and Romero are both 17. Theyve both shown solid power (5 and 7 HRs respectively). Cardozo is actually batting .337 now. Another guy who I thought would make it is Carlos Vielma. He's putting up impressive stats as a 16 year old. I think he's injured though. Encouraging signs in DSL. I can't remember the last time theyve had this many young guys playing this well in DSL. It's usually a bunch of trash. See the link below if you want to look into their stats. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/team.cgi?id=7f33291f
  13. I have not been to the Rogers Centre but it looks fantastic on TV and Toronto fans rave about it. I would love to see a retractable roof stadium for the White Sox after so many years of bad weather conditions/cancellations It would be great to actually be able to buy tickets and plan ahead without being concerned about a game being postponed or having to sit in rainy, cold or steaming hot conditions. So glad the upcoming games are in Toronto instead of in the oppressive heat/possible rain in Chicago. Who wants to go outdoors in this weather and no, I would not go to the Sox game if they were playing in these conditions at home.
  14. I do love the fact Bonemer his a RHH - which we are lacking
  15. Don't forget Bonemer. He might be the best hitter of all of them. He'll be ready next year. We need some RH Pop. Heck bring him up now. He can replace our negative WAR DH
  16. Interesting story in the Athletic today. MLB sent out a memo warning teams against using A.I. to make in-game decisions as far as substitutions and game strategy. Apparently clubs have started doing this instead of humans making the decisions and MLB doesn't like it.
  17. Absolutely correct. As soon as Disney bought ESPN it stopped being about sports and shifted towards "entertainment" and trying to draw in non-sports fans.
  18. This is not journalism. Almost all of the talking heads on these shows are not journalists, at least not in the roles in front of the camera. They are there to put on a show and draw people in. It's not about content, it is about eyeballs. It's Jerry Springer for sports fans.
  19. He's an idiot. I don't even think listeners like morons like this, but for whatever reason these guys have "access" to players that people want to hear interviewed. It's the same thing with Mookie Betts, although he is a lot less obnoxious. Players will go on his show and talk to him and he'll ask the most inane questions. Way out of his element, he isn't a journalist, he's a ball player. Journalists don't have a role in this anymore unless they do PR for the players and their agencies. It may be 'just sports', but journalistic ethics and quality standards are completely gone.
